If you are one of those guests, please just google "how to save money on a cruise," and you will easily find all the usual suggestions on how to book your holiday cheap and save on drink packages on the ship. But please, don't follow my advice. It will not make you happy.This guide is for smart individuals and couples who want to experience the unusual. People who travel to explore a new culture, who want to interact with the locals, try new things, and are not afraid to bargain. I won ́t recommend certain things some of the crew members do to save money like drinking Listerine instead of booze to get wasted (yes, I am not making this up)! Or to hitchhike instead of taking an Uber (if you are voluntarily taking a meter taxi outside Indonesia or Thailand however, this guide is a waste of your time). Also, some advice you will find here will be against certain cruise lines' house rules, so please, check the fine print beforehand, if you bring back vodka to the ship in a Sprite bottle.
