If we do not think that a computer, or even a bicycle, could have come up by chance, without a designer, could we think that man who made the computer could have come up by chance, without a designer? Chance and design are mutually exclusive: the disproof of the one is the proof of the other. There is no third option! In biogenesis, genetics, dendrochronology, geophysics, and thermodynamics, evolution theory has been disproved experimentally and observationally. By default, therefore, design has been proven! Any attempt by evolutionists to experimentally disprove design, or prove chance, ends up proving design: The one conducting the experiment is the designer of that experiment, and the result is his design. If the experiment is left to chance, nothing happens! With historic data from the Bible added up, we show the year God created man and other things. Acts and relationships between God and his creation show up in other chapters to remind us that the Creator, God, lives and wills. One of these chapters, "Black History in Scripture," disproves the saying that "Christianity is the white man's religion." We show that the scriptures were translated into three African languages, for ten centuries, before there was an English Bible-among other facts. Did Jesus not live in Israel and Africa only?

Book excerpt: Many stories have been told about the famous Lost Boys but now, for the first time, a Lost Girl shares her hauntingly beautiful and inspiring story. One of the first unaccompanied refugee children to enter the United States in 2000, after South Sudan's second civil war took the lives of most of her family, Rebecca's story begins in the late 1980s when, at the age of four, her village was attacked and she had to escape. What They Meant for Evil is the account of that unimaginable journey. With the candor and purity of a child, Rebecca recalls how she endured fleeing from gunfire, suffering through hunger and strength-sapping illnesses, dodging life-threatening predators-lions, snakes, crocodiles, and soldiers alike-that dogged her footsteps, and grappling with a war that stole her childhood. Her story is a lyrical, captivating portrait of a child hurled into wartime, and how through divine intervention, she came to America and found a new life full of joy, hope, and redemption.

Lucy’s Perfect Summer: New management at the radio station threatens to let Lucy’s father go, claiming his blindness is holding the station back. That may mean a move for Lucy and her dad. In order to help her father, Lucy has to let him go for a while and that means leaning on God to help her make the sacrifice. In Lucy Finds Her Way Lucy is faced with her toughest obstacles yet in her quest to find out just what it means to be a girl. With Aunt Karen taking over while Dad is away at a special school, teachers at middle school not being as understanding as Mr. Auggy, J.J. learning first-hand about bullying, and soccer becoming way more serious as she prepares for Olympic Development Program try-outs, Lucy has to depend on God more than ever. She is constantly searching for the “why” in everything. Sometimes it helps answer her questions, and sometimes it just gets her into trouble.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ★ Publishers Weekly starred review Academy of Parish Clergy Reference Book of the Year IVP Readers' Choice Award A New Testament in English by Native North Americans for Native North Americans and All English-Speaking Peoples Many First Nations tribes communicate with the cultural and linguistic thought patterns found in their original tongues. The First Nations Version (FNV) recounts the Creator's Story—the Christian Scriptures—following the tradition of Native storytellers' oral cultures. This way of speaking, with its simple yet profound beauty and rich cultural idioms, still resonates in the hearts of First Nations people. The FNV is a dynamic equivalence translation of the New Testament that captures the simplicity, clarity, and beauty of Native storytellers in English, while remaining faithful to the original language of the Bible. The culmination of a rigorous five-year translation process, this new Bible translation is a collaboration between organizations like OneBook and Wycliffe Associates, Indigenous North Americans from over twenty-five different tribes, and a translation council that consisted of twelve Native North American elders, pastors, young adults, and men and women from different tribes and diverse geographic locations. Whether you are Native or not, you will experience the Scriptures in a fresh and new way. Read these sample passages to get a taste of what you'll find inside: "The Great Spirit loves this world of human beings so deeply he gave us his Son—the only Son who fully represents him. All who trust in him and his way will not come to a bad end, but will have the life of the world to come that never fades—full of beauty and harmony. Creator did not send his Son to decide against the people of this world, but to set them free from the worthless ways of the world." John 3:16-17 "Love is patient and kind. Love is never jealous. It does not brag or boast. It is not puffed up or big-headed. Love does not act in shameful ways, nor does it care only about itself. It is not hot-headed, nor does it keep track of wrongs done to it. Love is not happy with lies and injustice, but truth makes its heart glad. Love keeps walking even when carrying a heavy load. Love keeps trusting, never loses hope, and stands firm in hard times. The road of love has no end." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Book excerpt: Ciro is one among three thousand doomed to die on September 11th, 2001. It seems useless to describe my moment of death, because it didnt feel final, even when I lost my footing, slipped, and free-fell to the street. It seemed to happen in slow motion, as I hovered above my body and watched it fall. The enchanting voice that seemed to whisper my name was now visible a gossamer shape in a silver dress that waved in the wind. She smiled at me. And before she could speak, I realized who she was this was my guardian angel. In Heaven, Ciro is enlightened by the teachings and lost parables of Christ words the author believes were divinely delivered to him. He, in turn, shares them with you.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One objective of this book is to set forth an interest in the Book of Ephesians and the Book of Philippians. Ten studies are developed from Ephesians in order to explain predestination, election, and the richness of God's grace. Chapters 11 and 12 advance God's salvation with an emphasis in Chapter 11 concerning the role of women in sharing the message of redemption. Chapter 13 examines one's life before rebirth and life after rebirth. Chapter 14 looks carefully at arguments adopted to condemn instrumental music in the Christian assembly. The next seven chapters (15-21) investigate several statements from the Book of Philippians with accent upon God working in us to accomplish His outreach to the lost. Three chapters (22-24) look at the purpose of the church, church and ministry, and the identification of the church. Chapter 25 sets forth the biblical date for the Exodus as well as biblical chronology versus liberal chronology. The next chapter (26) looks at the prophetic ministry. Chapters 27 and 28 review the prophet Jonah with an emphasis upon his psychological setback in his first refusal to carry out God's command to go to Nineveh. Chapter 29 discusses God's admonition to Joshua. Chapters 30-32 scrutinize 1 Timothy 2:11-15, which in-depth study is an overview of the Pastoral Epistles. This study seeks an answer to Paul's negative declaration about the participation of women in the church at Ephesus. These particular women were involved in the telling of stories about their gods and goddesses as well as the practice of magic. They did not understand the true nature of Jesus. The next three chapters (33-35) analyze the identity of Jesus. And, finally, Chapter 36 is written from an apologetic viewpoint, which reading concentrates upon the "cell" to demonstrate that there is an Intelligent Designer.

Book excerpt: "In this highly readable and entertaining book, Jeanine Basinger shows how the "woman's film" of the 30s, 40s, and 50s sent a potent mixed message to millions of female moviegoers. At the same time that such films exhorted women to stick to their "proper" realm of men, marriage, and motherhood, they portrayed -- usually with relish -- strong women playing out liberating fantasies of power, romance, sexuality, luxury, even wickedness...Basinger examines dozens of films -- whether melodrama, screwball comedy, musical, film noir, western, or biopic to make a persuasive case that the woman's film was a rich, complicated, and subversive genre that recognized and addressed, if covertly, the problems of women."
