Book excerpt: The first in a series of eight guided workbooks on finding inner connection and self-awareness using writing, drawing, and creative activities that anyone can do. Designed to take you on a journey into your heart, to find happiness and purpose, regardless of your past. A fun and easy way to discover your unique self. Do you know what you really love and what makes you happy, or are you rushing from moment to moment simply focusing on what needs to be done? Are you living the life you dreamed of, or are you living the way you think you should, to keep others happy? These are questions many of us are looking to answer and you have just found the tool to help you. This is a journal, workbook and creative space all in one, designed to open awareness to your deeper thoughts and feelings using intuitive and thought-provoking writing, drawing, and creative activities that anyone can do. It represents the love and support in your life and is the first in the Rainbow Vision Journal series of eight guided workbooks. When you are not doing what you love, your energy vibration is out of alignment. It may be subtle, you feel flat and every day is the same, where nothing changes. You may feel tired or anxious and lived this way for so long, you don't realise it is just bad habits in your thinking that are causing your lack of happiness, peace, and fulfillment. As you become clear on what you truly love, you start feeling better and life begins to take on a whole new meaning. The more you become aware of your innermost thoughts, the more you notice how your thinking is different to who you want to be. You begin to see how your deeper thoughts are sabotaging your happiness over and over. Quantum physics has proven that everything in the universe is energy vibrating at different frequencies and when you have a thought, it is also an energy vibration. By combining this idea with the law of attraction, you start to understand why you are attracting a life you don't really want, instead of a life where you follow your heart and your dreams. Author Sharon Dawn has taken these concepts to guide you on a journey of self-awareness and inner connection where you can find your path to happiness. Journaling is a popular way to find and understand your true self, and in this book, it has been taken a step further with written and creative exercises to gain clarity on the love and support in your life. Journals do not judge or criticise, and that makes it a safe place to speak about things you wouldn't say to anyone. A journal allows you to expand your dreams and be as imaginative and creative as you like. You can say and do anything you want and in so doing, you will discover what you have buried deep inside. No matter where you are or what your skills are, you can always journal. If you commit just five minutes a day, you will see great results very quickly. Its time to follow your heart and find the happiness you deserve because you ARE worth it! The full Rainbow Vision series is RED - My Heart. How to follow your heart and find your bliss without reliving your past. ORANGE - My Experiences. How to have awesome experiences without worrying about time or money. YELLOW - My Wellbeing. How to feel good regardless of your body shape or fitness level. GREEN - My Abundance. How to attract money and abundance into your life without stress. BLUE - My Purpose. Book excerpt: Are you stuck and overwhelmed with life? Do you have a vision that you haven’t written down yet? Well, the Vision Journal Workbook is like a vision board but better! The Vision Journal was designed for the everyday person to sit down and use art to create the vision that they think the Lord desires for their life. It also challenges us to get closer to Christ, work on our personal relationship with him, and see what the Lord has for our future. The following are the perks of the workbook: • It is a workbook, not a poster, so it allows for your vision/goals to be personal. • It is a mixed-media art workbook! This means that you can use various art media to create your pages! If you don’t like to draw, then write down your vision. • The Vision Journal workbook is organized by categories: family, our personal relationship with Jesus, finances, health, ministry, etc. (so you can organize your thoughts). • There are pages to set your goals, pages to write your blessing, and a resource page that will help you achieve your goals. • This workbook is Christ centered and has guiding questions that would allow for one to reflect on how the Lord wants to use our desires. • This is a perfect bonding activity to do with your child, friend, or loved one. • You can use the Vision Journal workbook to help you have a deeper relationship with Jesus. This workbook is perfect for: • quiet time with the Lord, including in conferences/retreats; • retreats/conferences; • youth groups; • Young Life campaigners; • Bible studies; • women’s groups; • you and your child doing this workbook together so you can see what their goals are; and • Christian counseling/art therapy. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does in your life through this workbook!

Book excerpt: The ability to see deeply affects how human beings perceive and interpret the world around them. For most people, eyesight is part of everyday communication, social activities, educational and professional pursuits, the care of others, and the maintenance of personal health, independence, and mobility. Functioning eyes and vision system can reduce an adult's risk of chronic health conditions, death, falls and injuries, social isolation, depression, and other psychological problems. In children, properly maintained eye and vision health contributes to a child's social development, academic achievement, and better health across the lifespan. The public generally recognizes its reliance on sight and fears its loss, but emphasis on eye and vision health, in general, has not been integrated into daily life to the same extent as other health promotion activities, such as teeth brushing; hand washing; physical and mental exercise; and various injury prevention behaviors. A larger population health approach is needed to engage a wide range of stakeholders in coordinated efforts that can sustain the scope of behavior change. The shaping of socioeconomic environments can eventually lead to new social norms that promote eye and vision health. Making Eye Health a Population Health Imperative: Vision for Tomorrow proposes a new population-centered framework to guide action and coordination among various, and sometimes competing, stakeholders in pursuit of improved eye and vision health and health equity in the United States. Building on the momentum of previous public health efforts, this report also introduces a model for action that highlights different levels of prevention activities across a range of stakeholders and provides specific examples of how population health strategies can be translated into cohesive areas for action at federal, state, and local levels.

Book excerpt: Literary Nonfiction. California Interest. Religion & Spirituality. Originally published in recurring dispatches for a small town newspaper, this collection of essays by noted California naturalist Richard Vacha reads like a delighted field journal, full of insights into the mystic, sensory, and nearly-forgotten world of animal tracking. Through a series of outings, Vacha traverses the prismatic experience of tracking and brings it to our level. Practical investigations of signs and tracks draw close to the lives of all the animals in his landscape, including bobcats, badgers, skunks, coyotes, and one particular vulture. With spontaneous energy, Vacha's essays reveal the practice of asking sacred questions, and the process of stripping down to your senses in order to enter this primal awareness.

This book presents current and emerging methods developed for the acquisition of images of moving organs in the five main medical imaging modalities: conventional X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear imaging and ultrasound. The availability of dynamic image sequences allows for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of an organ’s dynamics, which is often linked to pathologies.

You can be afraid and still go forward into those unknown placesthose heart places that expose us and heal us. You can fuel the fires of love and worthiness rather than judgment and self-conceit. You can find freedom in your loneliness, beauty in surrender. You can accept yourself just for who you are right now, carried on the wings of possibility into the promise of your potential. Welcome life. Whatever comes, whatever goes, in all its fullness and emptiness, enjoy this journey from within to everywhere. Reflections from Heart to Mind. Dive into the passionate heart of love.
