Book excerpt: 'Deception in the Church' brings a timely warning to both Christians and non-Christians to be alert to the strategies satan uses to keep us from the truth. The book traces the historical development of Christianity, the battles for the faith against the legalism and tradition of the Jews to the influences of Greek philosophy and Gnosticism. It reveals the heresy and corruption of the faith by Roman Catholicism and the undermining influences of science and humanism to post-modernism and New Age thinking.

John 10:10a NKJV Satan is the god of this world (see 2 Corinthians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19), is the “father of lies” (see John 8:44), and his job description is to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” In order to achieve his aims, he most often lies to us and deceives us. Satan often disguises his forces to make them look like natural problems so you’ll fight them with natural weapons. But you cannot fight a spiritual foe with natural weapons but with spiritual weapons, i.e. speaking God’s word to the devil and his demons. Unfortunately satan can disguise himself as an “angel of light,” so it is possible to be deceived by an innocent and apparently correct Christian teaching (see Matthew 24:4, 24:5; Mark 13:5, 13:6; and Luke 21:8). Often these inaccurate or incomplete teachings focus on God’s love and blessings (thus appealing to our flesh and so lead us astray (see Mark 13:22 and 1 Timothy 4:1) and do not mention His greatness, or our need to obey Him and have a reverential fear of Him. This book aims to help reveal satan’s lie and deception strategies and so empower Christians to live the Christian life that God intended. “Great book, interesting and well written based on solid evidence, documented, and not on flights of fancy or fanciful digressions or comforting in a fantastic book where you can find and discover the birth of the religion best known to the world. Through the dialogue structure, the reading is easier even if the terminology is researched and complex. At first glance it may seem pedantic, but you will be fascinated by the events described that so well dot the book.” -- Kalyan Panja , Booktica - Book Reviews

Book excerpt: This book brings insight into one of the most fearful, mysterious and little-understood prophecies that was spoken by Jesus of Nazareth in Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven...And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. KJV This quotation makes no easy message for a book, but as a gifted inspired writer Wlazlak is up to the challenge. He confronts the disturbing issue head -on, does not avert his gaze and presents the reader with a new and convincing interpretation of Christ's message. This expository teaching goes deep into the motives of those who profess to know God by placing burdensome rules upon church parishioners. His new book will be highly controversial among Christian readers: too sharp-edged, to thought-provoking is the message to just go down easy; too truthful maybe are the conclusions that he proclaims.

Book excerpt: Modern misguided evangelical empire-building at the institutional church level has systematically for the most part, attempted to replace Christianity with its own brand of organized religion. This subtle deception has taken more than 1,700 years to develop and permeate society and typical Christian thought, but develop well it has. So well, in fact, that even some of the greatest ministry personalities of our time have made the mistake of thinking that Christianity and organized religion are one and the same.but they are not. What's wrong with organized religion you say? Did you suppose that's what Christianity was all about? Did you suppose that its church building origins are biblical? And what's the fuss anyway? Does it really matter if the Lord's people are more 'organizationally" or 'institutionally" minded than they are 'relationally" minded? The author's opinion is that Purpose dictates the correct usage of what God designs. If we want to correctly use something God has designed, we must first discover God's original intent and purpose behind the creation of His idea. This work deals with the financial 'skeletons in the Church's closet" and goes behind the scenes for God's design for the Body of Christ known as the 'Church."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Satan is on a rampage; he has inundated our world with a multiplicity of dangerous lies and is convincing men to feast on them while rejecting God's holy Word. However, even though Satan's concocting these lies, man is not an innocent party to this deception; Satan may be spreading lies, but man entertains them of his own volition and perpetuates them. Man is electing to reject God and the doctrinal teachings of the Bible; he prefers to indulge teachings that agrantly contradict Scripture. Man is Satan's accomplice; he is complicit and culpable because he disregards the Word of God and chooses lies over truth. Average people have no clue they're being deceived by a clever and diabolical spirit. Satan's deception and cleverness are so astute that he's convinced many to believe the lie that he doesn't exist. However, he does exist, and the purpose of this book is to expose him, his lies, and his deceptions and to expose, refute, and combat the numerous deadly lies so prevalent in our world today that many have embraced. Much in this book will be seen by many as controversial and politically incorrect, but this book is factual and biblically sound; it will equip you with knowledge and insights from the Word of God to prevent you from falling prey to Satan's deceptions. God loves you, Jesus died for you, and it is my prayer that you carefully consider and investigate everything in this book and make the crucial decision to believe God and His Word versus Satan and his lies."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lloyd M. Graham is out to show that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments as we know them, are not “holy” nor are they the “word of God” revealed. The stories of the Bible were set down by power-seeking priests eager to inspire awe and to gather flocks who would take part in their rites and rituals, and they weren’t very original, either. In Deceptions and Myths of the Bible, Graham reintroduces us to the true origins of Adam and Eve, who were derived from a Babylonian account; to the story of Noah’s flood, which was the result of over four hundred years of flood accounts from various ancient civilizations; to the man named Moses who was fashioned after the Syrian story of Mises; and even to the laws of the Bible, which were patterned after the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi. Graham points out the 137 similarities between the story of Jesus and the story of the Egyptian god Horus, and the hundreds and hundreds of similarities between the story of Christ and the Hindu god Krishna. For any reader interested in history or theology, Graham’s book is essential, eye-opening, and controversial reading. If you are an atheist, you’ll be eager to read these arguments in support of your beliefs. If you are agnostic, you will want to have this evidence at your fingertips as you weigh systems of belief and disbelief. If you are religious, you will want to know how your faith came into being and how a study of history might shake or support your beliefs.
