It begins with an overview of research in urban logistics and then describes and defines the main components: flows, actors, infrastructures, management components, technologies, regulations and financing actions. First, the basics of the before-after analysis are introduced, not only for the experiments but also for the simulation of scenarios. The book presents the main global standards and dominant models for the estimation of the urban freight transport demand, i.e. of freight transport needs in urban areas. Then it presents the methods for estimating and simulating transport and distribution schemes (i.e. transport supply) as well as a proposal for integrated supply-demand modeling. All these methods are presented for immediate application to practitioners, accompanied by summary tables and parameters necessary for their implementation. As far as evaluation is concerned, the book presents a framework for the choice of sustainable indicators and scorecards. Second, the main methods for economic, environmental, social and accessibility assessment are presented. They are accompanied by tables and figures necessary for their implementation. Finally, the main applications of the proposed methods are introduced. The book is meant to be a practical guide to applying the main methods from scientific research to a practical context, and presents examples of quantified and explained application. Consequently, it is strongly required for them to get actively involved for their own benefit in emerging, potentially opportunistic collaborative enterprise networks. The concept of “interoperability” has been defined by INTEROP-VLab as “The ability of an enterprise system or application to interact with others at a low cost in a flexible approach”. Consequently, interoperability of organizations appears as a major issue to succeed in building on the fly emerging enterprise networks. The International Conference on Interoperability for Enterprise Systems and Applications (I-ESA 2014) was held under the motto “interoperability for agility, resilience and plasticity of collaborations” on March 26-28, 2014 and organized by the Ecole des Mines d’Albi-Carmaux, France on behalf of the European Laboratory for Enterprise Interoperability (INTEROP-VLab). On March 24-25, co-located with the conference eight workshops and one doctoral symposium were held in four tracks complementing the program of the I-ESA’14 conference. The workshops and the doctoral symposium address areas of greatest current activity focusing on active discussions among the leading researchers in the area of Enterprise Interoperability. This part of the conference helps the community to operate effectively, building co-operative and supportive international links as well as providing new knowledge of on-going research to practitioners. The workshops and doctoral symposium aimed at exploiting new issues, challenges and solutions for Enterprise Interoperability (EI) and associated domains of innovation such as Smart Industry, Internet-Of-Things, Factories of the Future, EI Applications and Standardisation. These proceedings include the short papers from the I-ESA’14 workshops and the doctoral symposium. The book is split up into 9 sections, one for each workshop and one for the doctoral symposium. All sections were organized following four tracks: (1) EI and Future Internet / Factory of the Future; (2) EI Application Domains and IT; (3) EI Standards; (4) EI Doctoral Symposium. For each section, a workshop report is provided summarizing the content and the issues discussed during the sessions. The goal of the first track was to offer a discussion opportunity on interoperability issues regarding the use of Internet of Things on manufacturing environment (Workshops 1 and 3) on one hand, and regarding the potential of innovation derived from the use of digital methods, architectures and services such as Smart Networks (Workshops 2 and 4) on the other hand. The second track focused on particular application domains that are looking for innovative solutions to support their strong collaborative needs. Thus, the track developed one workshop on the use of EI solution for Future City-Logistics (Workshop 5) and one on the use of EI solutions for Crisis / Disaster Management (Workshop 6). The third track studied the recent developments in EI standardization. Two workshops were dedicated to this issue. The first one has proposed to focus on the management of standardization (Workshop 8) and the second one has chosen to work on the new knowledge on standardization developments in the manufacturing service domain (Workshop 9). The last track, the doctoral symposium presented research results from selected dissertations. The session discussed EI knowledge issues, notably in terms of gathering through social networks or Internet of Things and of exploitation through innovative decision support systems.

Les espaces urbains, notamment en Europe, sont congestionnés par la faute d’une circulation croissante de personnes, de biens et de déchets, dont les impacts environnementaux sont significatifs. Les questions liées à la logistique urbaine donnent naturellement lieu à de plus en plus de recherches académiques. La thématique de la mutualisation de la logistique urbaine (MLU) connaît en particulier un grand succès depuis 2010, comme reflet d’expérimentations en cours, entre autres en Allemagne et en France. Sur la base d’une analyse approfondie de six revues professionnelles utilisées comme corpus de données secondaires, la recherche s’interroge sur l’évolution différenciée de la MLU en France et en Allemagne. Elle a pour objectif une meilleure compréhension d’un objet de recherche complexe qui reste finalement peu étudié. L’investigation, fondée sur une méthodologie post hoc et longitudinale, fait émerger un grand nombre d’éléments et met en lumière l’évolution comparée de la MLU dans les deux pays retenus. Les résultats sont synthétisés dans une grille de lecture compréhensive identifiant des cycles de MLU et relevant la diversité actuelle des solutions techniques et organisationnelles. Ces solutions débouchent sur de nouvelles réflexions concernant entre autres l’action des Pouvoirs publics, et sur des retours d’expérience quant aux enjeux des différents types d’espaces logistiques urbains à implémenter.

Les plans de logistique urbaine durable pourraient avoir un impact significatif sur la qualité de la vie en milieu urbain. L'évaluation d'initiatives de logistique de ville durable (SCLI) telles que les centres de distribution urbains, la tarification de la congestion, le délai de livraison et les restrictions d'accès est un problème complexe, car plusieurs critères et contraintes subjectifs et objectifs doivent être pris en compte. Les administrations municipales investissent dans des initiatives de logistique urbaine durable telles que les centres de distribution urbains, la tarification de la congestion, le calendrier de livraison et les restrictions d'accès afin d'améliorer les conditions de transport de marchandises dans les villes et de réduire leurs impacts négatifs sur les citoyens et leur environnement. Cependant, il y a toujours des risques dynamiques associés à la sélection. L'analyse des risques des initiatives de logistique urbaine est une tâche complexe en raison de la multiplicité des facteurs de risque et de leurs dépendances. Bien qu'il n'y ait pas beaucoup d'études sur les risques liés à la logistique urbaine, aucune attention n'a été portée à l'analyse des risques liés à la logistique urbaine en prenant en compte les dépendances entre les facteurs de risque et leurs critères. Considérer les dépendances entre les facteurs de risque pourrait conduire à une analyse plus précise des risques et augmenter le taux de réussite de la sélection des initiatives de logistique urbaine. Méthodes: pour résoudre ce problème, nous proposons un outil avancé d'aide à la décision appelé «cartescognitives floues» (FCM), capable de gérer les risques associés à des systèmes aussi complexes. La FCM représente avec précision le comportement de systèmes complexes et peut prendre en compte les incertitudes, les informations imprécises, les interactions entre les facteurs de risque, la rareté de l'information et les opinions de plusieurs décideurs. En outre, il pourrait être appliqué à différents problèmes de prise de décision liés aux initiatives de logistique de ville durable (SCLI). Par conséquent, l'outil proposé aiderait les praticiens à gérer les risques liés à la logistique urbaine d'une manière plus efficace et proactive et offrirait de meilleures solutions d'atténuation des risques. Dans les études précédentes, les méthodes de décision multicritères étaient principalement utilisées pour l'évaluation, la comparaison et la sélection d'initiatives logistiques de villes en fonction des effets obtenus ou prévus résultant de leur introduction dans divers environnements urbains. Afin d'évaluer l'adéquation des solutions conceptuelles aux exigences des différentes parties prenantes et conformément aux attributs spécifiques de l'environnement urbain, il convient de définir des solutions conceptuelles associant différentes initiatives de logistique urbaine en utilisant un processus artificiel; outils de renseignement, y compris la FCM.

Ils sont déterminants pour l'acheminement de la marchandise à son lieu de consommation finale. Mais ils comptent aussi pour la viabilité du tissu commercial urbain. Or, ces flux restent très peu reliés aux autres flux de transport de marchandises en ville optimisés et évalués, eux, dans une vision « transporteur » de la logistique urbaine. Dans cette thèse, nous identifions dans la littérature une autre approche de la logistique urbaine. Elle y replace la question de localisation des espaces logistiques et des autres fonctions urbaines reliées ou impactées par les flux de logistiques urbaines. Pour avancer sur les enjeux opérationnels de cette approche territoriale de la logistique urbaine, nous étudions le déménagement d'un magasin du centre-ville de Saint-Etienne vers sa périphérie Est où la métropole projette d'installer un parc d'activités commerciales. La contribution essentielle de la thèse est d'abord d'ouvrir le débat sur la prise en compte de la localisation commerciale dans les réflexions sur la logistique urbaine. Deux démarches d'analyses sont ensuite proposées et testée avec les données collectées, pour contribuer à traduire en outils opérationnels cette approche. La première consiste à mettre en relation la localisation commerciale et les choix individuels de déplacements d'achats à travers une modélisation probabiliste de type choix discrets. La seconde quant à elle permet de centrer sur chaque point de vente l'évaluation environnementale des flux de TMV générés, prenant en compte les déplacements d'achat qu'il génère. Une question émerge dès lors. La connaissance des probabilités de déplacements vers différentes localisations commerciales sur le territoire peut-il permettre de comparer le profil environnemental des flux de TMV générées par chacune de ces localisations ?
