Wells is an English author best known as a sci-fi writer, though he was also a prolific writer in many other genres, including contemporary novels, history, politics and social commentary, and even writing text books and rules for war games. The first great novel to imagine time travel, The Time Machine (1895) follows its scientist narrator on an incredible journey that takes him finally to Earth's last moments—and perhaps his own. The scientist who discovers how to transform himself in The Invisible Man (1897) will also discover, too late, that he has become unmoored from society and from his own sanity. The War of the Worlds (1898)—the seminal masterpiece of alien invasion adapted by Orson Welles for his notorious 1938 radio drama, and subsequently by several filmmakers—imagines a fierce race of Martians who devastate Earth and feed on their human victims while their voracious vegetation, the red weed, spreads over the ruined planet...

Many are taken advantage of by a myriad of substitutes in the world systems and religions of man. I have written my book for all those who will not be satis ed with the owery rhetoric of those dressed in the attire of a shepherd. " The Unseen War for Your Soul" will take us into three worlds: Eternity past. We look at the existence of God and his revelation of himself to his people. Scriptural revelation as to why God created angels seraphim's and cherubim's. The fth cherubim are an astonishing created being. He was heavens most brilliant star until the rebellion. The world of time. The creation of our world the creation of humanity and the origins of evil. You will be amazed what actually transpired at the creation of humanity. Eternity future. The two prepared places where all that can never die will live. I lay down my pen knowing I have done my best to reach my family, friends and generation with what has been given to me from my creator.

Book excerpt: "There is a war outside the wire and we fight it every day on patrol, but the enemy is among us. There is another war, inside the wire, that although fought in silence is no less important to your safety. In some ways it is even more important because a man with his guard down is more vulnerable than a soldier prepared to meet his enemy in battle." As a Senior Counterintelligence Agent in Iraq, this is what Dr. Richard Saccone warned during staff meetings with combat troops facing bullets every day. Today's modern leaner military requires the hiring of thousands of contract workers and local nationals to work on U.S. bases performing services from translation to manual labor, light construction, maintenance and more. Out of the several thousand non-military personnel hired, insurgents are unceasing in their attempts to infiltrate, living and working right next to U.S. soldiers every day. Access and information are highly valuable commodities. Whether they are insurgents, sympathizers or working under threat of harm to themselves or their loved ones, it is difficult to know where true loyalties lie. Sifting through this human haystack, searching for the proverbial insurgent needle is the job of Counterintelligence (CI). Skilled CI agents work closely with Force Protection soldiers to identify and eliminate infiltrators and spies before they can harm U.S. forces in the sanctuary of their homes. This is the unseen war; the war not captured by the media. Without revealing classified methods that would undermine the CI effort, Dr. Saccone exposes the reader to the Unseen War in Iraq, a war of cloak-and-dagger and intrigue, a war interesting in its methods and critical to overall success. He reflects on his time spent at Abu Ghraib prison, raises thought-provoking questions relating to the difference between torture and coercive techniques, methods to distinguish between the "good guys" and the "bad guys" and provides deep insight into ways the military could improve their counterintelligence strategy.

Book excerpt: When Dr. Jack Graham was twenty years old, he got the phone call no one wants to receive. His father had been ruthlessly attacked, and it became clear to young Jack that invisible forces of evil were involved. He realized he needed to take the spiritual world more seriously, because the real battles we face in life are between the powers of good and evil...literally the armies of heaven and hell. Through compelling stories, practical guidance, and biblical truth, Dr. Graham challenges popular opinions and persistent folklore about heaven and hell, good and evil, angels and Satan. You will come away from this book enlightened about the supernatural world and encouraged that God can provide protection, provision, and power for whatever lies ahead. Each chapter includes questions for group discussion or individual reflection. Free online small-group curriculum is also available. "We sometimes forget that the real powers in this world are spiritual rather than physical. I'm thrilled that in Unseen Jack Graham reminds us of the hidden battles we face and instills hope and assurance that believers will emerge victorious. I highly recommend this insightful, biblical, and very personal book."--Mark Batterson, New York Times bestselling author, The Circle Maker "I was captivated by Unseen from start to finish. Dr. Graham has powerfully addressed some of the greatest questions and concerns of our day. We must all recognize that we are in a spiritual battle. This book will help you to not only understand what is going on, but how God has equipped each and every one of us to live a victorious, overcoming Christian life as light in the midst of darkness. This book is a must-read for every Christian."--Christine Caine, founder, The A21 Campaign , bestselling author, Undaunted "Jack Graham is a man of God who understands the spirit world. Our battle isn't against people. It's against Satan and demonic spirits. Jesus' conquest over those evil forces enables us to walk victoriously as we prayerfully put on God's armor and appropriate His Word. Unseen is a mandatory manual for every spiritual warrior!"--Steve Gaines, PhD, senior pastor, Bellevue Baptist Church, Memphis, TN "What you see is not all there is. Unfortunately, too many people are losing battles they don't even know are being fought. In his timely book, Unseen, Dr. Jack Graham equips and empowers us to fight and win spiritual battles God's way. If you are longing for more spiritual power and understanding, read this book."--Craig Groeschel, senior pastor, LifeChurch.tv, author, Altar Ego: Becoming Who God Says You Are "The key word that comes to mind concerning Jack Graham's new book Unseen is needed. There is a war in the heavenlies that touches this earth, but the good news is that we can win the war. Read, be instructed, embrace its truth, and win the battle."--Johnny Hunt, pastor, First Baptist Church, Woodstock, GA "Lift your eyes from the urgent and set your sights on eternity, where a hundred years from today you will be alive and fully aware. Jack Graham calls us not just to finish the race to eternity, but to break the tape accelerating, and his insightful book Unseen tells us why and how!"--James MacDonald, senior pastor, Harvest Bible Chapel and author, Vertical Church "The unseen aspects of the spiritual life are the most important and often most difficult to understand. But our lack of understanding doesn't negate the reality. Jack Graham's words in Unseen will open your eyes to the spiritual battle that surrounds us. Allow Dr. Graham to lead you on a life-changing journey into the unseen."--Gregg Matte, pastor, Houston's First Baptist Church, author, I AM Changes Who i Am "Pastor Jack Graham presents a tactical manual every Christ-follower needs for winning the spiritual conflict with unseen forces of evil."--Kerry Shook, founding pastor, Woodlands Church

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: America’s second war against Iraq differed notably from its first. Operation Desert Storm was a limited effort by coalition forces to drive out those Iraqi troops who had seized Kuwait six months before. In contrast, the major combat phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 was a more ambitious undertaking aimed at decisively ending Saddam Hussein’s rule. After several days of intense air strikes against fixed enemy targets, allied air operations began concentrating on Iraqi ground troops. The intended effect was to destroy Iraqi resistance and allow coalition land forces to maneuver without pausing in response to enemy actions. Iraqi tank concentrations were struck with consistently lethal effect, paving the way for an allied entrance into Baghdad that was largely unopposed. Hussein’s regime finally collapsed on April 9. Viewed in hindsight, it was the combination of allied air power as an indispensable enabler and the unexpected rapidity of the allied ground advance that allowed coalition forces to overrun Baghdad before Iraq could mount a coherent defense. In achieving this unprecedented level of performance, allied air power was indispensable in setting the conditions for the campaign’s end. Freedom from attack and freedom to attack prevailed for allied ground forces. The intended effect of allied air operations was to facilitate the quickest capture of Baghdad without the occurrence of any major head-to-head battles on the ground. This impressive short-term achievement, however, was soon overshadowed by the ensuing insurgency that continued for four years thereafter in Iraq. The mounting costs of that turmoil tended, for a time, to render the campaign’s initial successes all but forgotten. Only more recently did the war begin showing signs of reaching an agreeable end when the coalition’s commander put into effect a new counterinsurgency strategy in 2007 aimed at providing genuine security for Iraqi citizens. The toppling of Hussein’s regime ended the iron rule of an odious dictator who had brutalized his people for more than 30 years. Yet the inadequate resourcing with which that goal was pursued showed that any effective plan for a regime takedown must include due hedging against the campaign’s likely aftermath in addition to simply seeing to the needs of major combat. That said, despite the failure of the campaign’s planners to underwrite the first need adequately, those who conducted the three-week offensive in pursuit of regime change performed all but flawlessly, thanks in considerable part to the mostly unobserved but crucial enabling contributions of allied air power.

In addition to relying on time-tested solutions to the problem of evil, the author also presents a compelling new way to think about this puzzle.
