Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thank you for selecting the GLVAR Publication, Real Estate Salesperson Pre-Licensing Course. This textbook was written to lay the foundation for your new career in real estate and to help you pass the national portion of the PSI real estate exam. All 50 states have their own real estate licensing authorities. As such, each state has determined its own educational requirements and what content is to be tested of new licensing applicants. PSI produces a publication entitled Candidate Information Bulletin that specifies the number of questions that will appear on the state exam per content category. We strongly encourage you to download the Candidate Information Bulletin from the PSI web site www.psiexams.com. The bulletin will answer your many questions such as how to register, fees, site locations, passing scores, rules for testing, the computer system, exam content, state licensing requirements, and more. The PSI state exam consists of test questions that fall within two broad categories: the "national portion" will contain questions based on general real estate principles and practices that are applicable to the real estate practitioner regardless of his or her home state; while the "state portion" consists of issues and laws that are specific to that one state. The GLVAR Real Estate Salesperson Pre-Licensing Course was written specifically to coincide with the national portion of the PSI outline topic by topic. Testing companies like PSI hire test item writers and maintain a bank of test questions. Many will randomly select questions from the bank in order to produce an individual exam thus preventing future test takers from knowing all the answers. No one really knows what is in a state's bank of questions. Although we don't have access to any specific questions, we do know the types of questions that you may see. This textbook includes quizzes following each chapter and two practice final exams to further help you prepare. The Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS(r) would like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best of success with the course, obtaining your license, and beginning a rewarding career in real estate.

Book excerpt: During Nevada's 2019 legislative session, it was decided to increase the number of hours of pre-licensing education to qualify for a Nevada real estate license. The passed bill increased the hours from 90 to 120 for an increase of 30 hours. Of the 30 hours, 15 hours were designated to be agency-related content which must include 3 hours in the foundation of the relationship between a broker and an agent; and 3 hours in risk reduction, including, property management, leasing, and information security. The other 15 hours must address the preparation of contracts in real estate transactions to the extent allowed in the capacity of a licensee. This course and textbook have been approved by the Nevada Real Estate Division to satisfy the new requirements.

This book was released on 2019-11-27 with total page 77 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This essay sheds light on how to become a real estate agent, explicates how to be highly successful as a real estate agent, and elucidates how to earn revenue as a real estate agent. While becoming a real estate agent may seem be an eminently cumbersome, expensive, time-consuming, and daunting undertaking, it is viably possible to become a real estate agent. Much to the relief of prospective real estate agents, it is possible to become a real estate agent in a time span of less than a year and the journey to become a real estate agent is not as lengthy as the journey to pursue certain other occupations, such as the occupations of a medical doctor or attorney. The pathway that a prospective real estate agent can follow to become a real estate agent is fraught with challenges that are not a cinch to surmount. It can be arduous to fulfill the duties of a real estate agent. Real estate agent skills are desirable skills to possess. As of November of 2019, only an infinitesimal fraction of one percent of the global population work as real estate agents. in the U.S., for instance, less than 1,391,000 people work as real estate agents even though the U.S. population is comprised of over 328,000,000 people as of November of 2019. As of November of 2019, less than .424% of people in the U.S. work as real estate agents. This means that out of 236 random people in the U.S., about only one person at most would work as a real estate agent as of November of 2019. As of November of 2019, it was estimated that there were more medical doctors and attorneys as an aggregate in the U.S. than real estate agents in the U.S. even though it takes far more years to fulfill the ample mandatory requirements to become a medical doctor or attorney than it takes to fulfill the mandatory requirements to become a real estate agent. The mandatory requirements that need to be fulfilled for a person to become a real estate agent can vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. The pathway to become a real estate agent can entail enrolling in “an ARELLO-accredited real estate school that offers pre-licensing coursework specific to your state” (“What are the,” n.d.) and then subsequently completing the requisite pre-licensing coursework and passing a pre-licensing final examination in order to complete the pre-licensing real estate agent course so that you can “obtain your official transcripts or a certificate of course completion before you can take your state’s real estate license exam” (“What are the,” n.d.)”. Once you have obtained your “official transcripts or a certificate of course completion”, then you can profusely study for “your state’s real estate licensing examination”. Once you are primed to take “your state’s real estate licensing examination”, then you can schedule a date to take the real estate license examination at the cost of conceding to paying a steep real estate examination fee in order to have the real estate examination administered to you. “Some states require that you get fingerprinted, complete a background check, or have Errors and Omissions Insurance on hand before you can take your state’s real estate license examination” (“What are the,” n.d.). Before commence taking your “state’s real estate license examination, you should contact the testing center in order to inquire about what documents you will need to have on the test day. You can also ascertain information about parking, hours and any materials you will need to bring with you on the test day” (“What are the,” n.d.). Depending on the jurisdiction that you reside in, “you may be required to be sponsored by a real estate broker in order to take the real estate license examination” (“What are the,” n.d.). You should studiously study for the real estate license examination so that you can render yourself poised to pass it and not need to retake it. Every time a person retakes the real estate license examination it bears him an additional hefty real estate examination fee. Within 6-12 months of having procured your real estate license, you will need to “complete real estate post-licensing coursework” (“What are the,” n.d.) if the jurisdiction that you reside in requires you to do so. It is important to not circumvent completing the “real estate post-licensing coursework” (“What are the,” n.d.) so that you maintain an active real estate license. Once you have passed the real estate license examination, you can be inducted into “professional real estate organizations”.

Book excerpt: This essay sheds light on how to generate leads as a real estate agent, identifies the costs of becoming a real estate agent, and punctuates the downsides appertaining to being a real estate agent. Moreover, the future of housing is demystified and the most affordable types of housing options that will be popular in the coming decades are revealed in this essay. Moreover, why mobile homes are deemed the utmost affordable and best housing option for home buyers is explicated and the myriad of advantages and disadvantages appertaining to possessing a mobile home are delineated in this essay. Furthermore, how to earn substantial money online so that you can afford to launch your real estate career is expounded upon in this essay. Becoming a real estate broker can be a cumbersome, expensive, and eminently time draining pursuit that is unequivocally not for the faint of heart. Prior to the advent of becoming a real estate broker, you are first required to become a licensed real estate agent. "To qualify for a real estate broker license, one must first hold a valid real estate sales agent license and work under that license for a number of years. In many states, brokers must have two years of experience working as a sales agent, but some states require only one year of experience whereas other states may require three years of experience" ("How to Become," n.d.). As a prerequisite to becoming a real estate broker, you will first need to become a real estate agent. Becoming a real estate agent in the digital era is easier than anytime in history. While the process to become a real estate agent may seem complex and daunting, it anything but cumbersome. Every state will have disparate pre-license course requirements which is why it is important for you to do your due diligence if you are adamant about becoming a real estate agent. In order to become a real estate agent, you should enroll in "an ARELLO-accredited real estate school that offers pre-licensing coursework specific to your state" ("What are the," n.d.). You can complete all your pre-licensing coursework online, including the pre-licensing exam in only a few months, and then you can subsequently begin profusely studying for your state's real estate license exam. Once you have completed all the requisite pre-licensing coursework online, "you will need to obtain your official transcripts or a certificate of course completion before you can take your state's real estate license exam" ("What are the," n.d.). If you feel ill-prepared to take the real estate license exam post completing the pre-licensing coursework online and the pre-licensing exam, then you can always enroll in a "Exam Prep Master program" ("What are the," n.d.) in order to bolster your real estate knowledge. Once you feel are competent enough to pass your state's real estate license exam, you will need to schedule a date to take the exam and will also need to concede to paying an application fee. "Some states require that you get fingerprinted, complete a background check, or have Errors and Omissions Insurance on hand before you can take your state exam. Before you take your real estate license exam, you should contact the testing center in order to inquire what documents you will need to have on test day. You should do everything in your purview to be poised to pass your state's real estate license exam so that you do not have to retake it. "Depending on your state, you may be required to be sponsored by a real estate broker in order to take the real estate exam" ("What are the," n.d.). In the event, you have to choose your broker prior to the advent of taking the real estate exam then you will need to prudently choose a sponsoring real estate broker who would provides you with the best career options.

A salesperson applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have completed 90 classroom hours of real estate courses. He must also have completed contract writing education. To apply for a broker license, one must be at least 18 years of age with at least 3 years actual full time experience as a salesperson, going through 90 hours of in-class prelicensing education, and complete the fingerprint clearance process. The broker exam administered by Pearson VUE must also be cleared. Throughout the book we try to use the term "real estate agent" instead of being very specific since many of the real estate skills and knowledge actually apply to both salespersons and brokers (both exams cover highly similar topics). In fact, in many states the term agent and salesperson are often used interchangeably. This book focuses on topics related to laws and regulations; contracts and licensing requirements; as well as leasing. TAX RATES AND FEES TEND TO CHANGE FREQUENTLY. THEREFORE YOU SHOULD CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION UPDATES. We give you knowledge information relevant to the exam specification. To be able to succeed in the real exam, you'll need to apply your earned knowledge to the question scenarios. Many of the exam questions are written to be less straight forward. They tend to be framed within the context of short scenarios. An advice: Do NOT rely on a single source for exam preparation.
