Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What people need today when they and society at large are in social and economic distress is great advice and spiritual support that is easy to access. 64 Lessons- informed by two of Bishop Jakes' bestselling titles, Reposition Yourself and Making Great Decisions- is a ready-reference book of advice to keep readers on course in managing their careers, relationships, health, home and spiritual well-being. The 64 lessons explore ideas like: 1. Good choices begin with research; 2. Quitting can be good, at the right time; 3. Begin before 'need' arises; 4. Regret can be the begging of triumph over adversity. For instance, we've all been told that quitters never win. But, there IS a time to quit, whether it's your job, marriage, church or project. The biggest problem with quitting is the timing. Quitting too soon may mean that you relinquish your dreams. Get comfortable with change. Even after you've repositioned yourself, change is constant. You may need to quit something in order to make room for the next season of your life. Before you quit anything, look within and determine your real motives. Revisit the longings deep in your heart. Get a clear perspective on what you're releasing and what your taking hold of. Examine your prior choices and consider what you've 'quit' in the past. This honest self-examination will prepare you for a new beginning.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My book begins the barriers that cause breakups in marriages and relationships. I tell my story of how God restored me through my separation and divorce. You have to get rid of the junk in your trunk such as, anger, bitterness, revenge, low self-esteem, hostility, resentment, rejection, trust, and ability of letting go. Through Jesus you can start healing and renewing your mind and spirit through forgiveness, edification and a positive mental attitude that brings peace, restoration, and joy. Once you have sought the kingdom, then there is joy at the end of the tunnel. To know that in order to live a peaceful and joyful life one must through the love of God put themselves on the right track and cut off all vices. Joyful living is achieved through Godly thinking. The most important condition of a joyful life is obeying Gods standards for your life by simply practicing what we have heard and seen. Examples of the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Living virtuous lives in accordance to Gods plan takes discipline and obedience. God tells us in Galatians 5:25 to not only live in the Spirit but walk in the Spirit, and it continues in verse 26, which is telling us not to be vain in glory, provoking one another and envying one another. God points out that we have three great weapons to arm ourselves in pursuit of his kingdom: faith, hope, and divine love. Provides an update on my life today, dating, and enjoying life at the fullest. Being happy and at peace with myself.

He uses the lessons he has learned from his own marriage and family life as well as others to encourage and inspire people to give and receive the greatest love possible.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every once in a while, I get a chance to listen to broadcasts on the radio or watch networking on television. And the more and more I do this, the more and more I get deeply concerned with the quality of so-called religious material presented on such via comments, discussions, lectures, preachings, teachings, etc. Every so often, I get led to deal with some of the monumental misunderstandings that menace the messianic ministry, mission, momentum, motion, motive, and movement. As these pessimistic, provocational presentations prevent permeation of positive providential pressure on the profound populace's psyche patterns, I constantly think about the repercussions they have on the spiritual psyche. It is very unfortunate that we are letting our guards down and allowing this type of pessimistic provocational presentations to prevent the permeation of positive providential pressure on the profound populace's psyche patterns. There are two strategies/tactics/ways to deal with this type of teaching and preaching: one is defensive and the other is offensive. The offensive tactic/strategy/way to guard against it is to constantly teach and preach against it, thereby exposing it for what it is and minimizing it, if not eliminating it--this is referred to as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; the defensive tactic/strategy/way to guard against it is to block or prevent it from entering your mind by literally putting a spiritual device of some sort over your mind--this is referred to as the helmet of salvation.

The 21st CENTURY ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN tells the story of how, one-hundred and seventy years after falling into an Arctic ice hole, Huckleberry Finn is discovered, thawed out, and brought back to life, unleashing his unique personality upon the 21st century. Thawed out by commercial-minded scientists, Huck Finn soon finds himself hunted by those who would love nothing more than to exploit his phenomenal story. But using his signature smarts, Huck escapes the scientists’ clutches and flees to a small town on the shores of Lake Michigan, where he sets up camp in the forest and tries living on his own. Feeling lonesome, he ventures out and meets a group of boys who call themselves the Musketeers. Befriended by their leader, Johnny MacShea, Huck is soon welcomed as a member of the gang and becomes the star of the boys’ local football team. While Huck finds a welcome home in Johnny MacShea’s family, not everyone embraces his sudden appearance in the small town, especially the parents of players on opposing football teams. In fact, just as he’s on the verge of solving a mystery that threatens the MacShea family, Huck is forced into a government-run facility for boys. Can he find a way back to Johnny MacShea’s family in time to resolve the mystery endangering the MacSheas and win the football championship with the Musketeers?

Jakes explains the tools that we need to know—whether we’re single and looking to have a committed relationship or already married—before taking the next big step. The star of BET’s Mind, Body & Soul, and featured guest speaker on Oprah’s Lifeclass, Potter’s House pastor, T.D. Jakes turns his attention to the topic of relationships, guiding you on the right track to making decisions you will benefit from for the rest of your life. In the vein of Joel Osteen’s Become a Better You and Dr. Phil’s Life Strategies, the New York Times bestselling Making Great Decisions gives you the psychological and practical tools you need to reflect, discern, and decide the next step toward strong relationships in your life. “Remember,” writes T.D. Jakes, “your tomorrow is no better than the decisions you make today.” “My promise is that if you read this book, you will be equipped, you will know all you need to know about making foolproof relational decisions,” writes T.D. Jakes. Choosing the right partner, at home or at work, is one of the most consequential decisions we’ll ever make. How can we be sure that we’re choosing wisely? How do we know if we’re doing the right thing when we change careers? By breaking our decisions down into their five crucial components: -Research: gathering information -Roadwork: removing obstacles -Rewards: listing choices and visualizing consequences -Revelation: narrowing your options and making your selection -Rearview: looking back and adjusting as necessary to stay on course Clear-sighted, realistic, and spiritually uplifting, Making Great Decisions is one of those rare books that can change lives.
