El manual responde al contenido curricular del Módulo Formativo MF 0617_3 que le da título y se integra en el certificado de profesionalidad ENAE0408 Gestión del montaje y mantenimiento de parques eólicos, regulado por RD 1967/2008 de 28 de noviembre. El reto para el autor consiste en ofrecer una visión lo más detallada posible de los conceptos que se manejan para la gestión del mantenimiento de este tipo de instalaciones y que sirvan de recordatorio al responsable de coordinar a todos los profesionales que intervienen a tal fin. El objetivo quedaría cumplido si esta obra es útil a profesionales, docentes y alumnos que desean formarse en estas materias y compartan con el autor el entusiasmo e interés por ellas. Al final de cada capítulo se incluyen una serie de ejercicios que sirven como autoevaluación y comprobación de los conocimientos adquiridos y al mismo tiempo abren el horizonte para la búsqueda de otros textos que mejoren y amplíen estos conocimientos.
