Book excerpt: The various uncertainties arise in complicated problems in Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Medical Science and Social Science. The methods of classical Mathematics may not be successfully used to solve them. Mathematical theories such as probability theory, fuzzy set theory and rough set theory were established by researchers to model uncertainties appearing in the above fields. But all these theories have their own difficulties. To overcome these difficulties, In 1999 Molodstov[7] introduced the concept of soft set as a new mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainties. As the problem of setting the membership function does not arise in soft set theory, it can be easily applied to many different fields. In 2003, Maji.et.al.[5] studied some operations on the soft set theory. In 2009, M.I.Ali et.al.[1] studied some new operations on soft sets and its applications. In 2013, Sujoy Das et.al.[11] proposed soft metric space. In 2015, Thangaraj Beaula et.al.,[12] established the fuzzy soft metric spaces. In chapter 1, the basic definitions, examples, properties and theorems are given which are used for throughout the dissertation. In chapter 2, we defined Fuzzy soft metric space with suitable illustrations. We proved arbitrary union of fuzzy soft open set is fuzzy soft open set and the intersection of finite number of fuzzy soft open set is fuzzy soft open set. In chapter 3, Cauchy sequence are defined. First category, second category, dense, nowhere dense are all defined with suitable illustrations. We established Cantor intersection theorem on complete fuzzy soft metric space and also we proved Baires category theorem on fuzzy soft metric space. In chapter 4, fuzzy soft open cover, fuzzy soft compact set and fuzzy soft totally bounded set are defined. We proved some important theorems. Also we defined Bolzano Weirstress property and based on this we proved theorem namely fuzzy soft metric space becomes fuzzy soft sequentially compact if and only if fuzzy soft metric space has the property Bolzano Weirstrass. In chapter 5, we defined convex fuzzy soft metric space. Also we defined self mapping, fixed point and convergence of convex fuzzy soft metric space. Using these all we proved fixed point theorem on convex fuzzy soft metric space.

Book excerpt: The notion of fuzzy sets initiated to overcome the uncertainty of an object. Fuzzy topological space, intuitionistic fuzzy sets in topological structure space, vagueness in topological structure space, rough sets in topological space, theory of hesitancy and neutrosophic topological space, etc. are the extension of fuzzy sets. Soft set is a family of parameters which is also a set. Fuzzy soft topological space, intuitionistic fuzzy soft and neutrosophic soft topological space are obtained by incorporating soft sets with various topological structures. This motivates to write a review and study on various soft set concepts. This paper shows the detailed review of soft topological spaces in various sets like fuzzy, Intuitionistic fuzzy set and neutrosophy. Eventually, we compared some of the existing tools in the literature for easy understanding and exhibited their advantages and limitations.

Book excerpt: In this paper, we introduce some operations on a fuzzy neutrosophic soft set (fns-set) by utilizing the theories of fuzzy sets, soft sets and neutrosophic sets. We introduce fns-mappings by using a cartesian product with relations on fns-sets and establish some results on fixed points of an fns-mapping. We present an algorithm to deal with uncertainties in the multi-criteria decision making to slenderize energy crises by using an fns-average operator and a comparison table for fns-sets.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fixed point theory arose from the Banach contraction principle and has been studied for a long time. Its application mostly relies on the existence of solutions to mathematical problems that are formulated from economics and engineering. After the existence of the solutions is guaranteed, the numerical methodology will be established to obtain the approximated solution. Fixed points of function depend heavily on the considered spaces that are defined using the intuitive axioms. In particular, variant metrics spaces are proposed, like a partial metric space, b-metric space, fuzzy metric space and probabilistic metric space, etc. Different spaces will result in different types of fixed point theorems. In other words, there are a lot of different types of fixed point theorems in the literature. Therefore, this Special Issue welcomes survey articles. Articles that unify the different types of fixed point theorems are also very welcome. The topics of this Special Issue include the following: Fixed point theorems in metric space Fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric space Fixed point theorems in probabilistic metric space Fixed point theorems of set-valued functions in various spaces The existence of solutions in game theory The existence of solutions for equilibrium problems The existence of solutions of differential equations The existence of solutions of integral equations Numerical methods for obtaining the approximated fixed points

Soft Computing: Recent Advances and Applications in Engineering and Mathematical Sciences presents a survey of the existing knowledge and the current state-of-the-art development through cutting-edge original new contributions from the researchers. As suggested by the title, this book particularly focuses on the recent advances and applications of soft computing techniques in engineering and mathematical sciences. Chapter 1 describes the contribution of soft computing techniques towards a new paradigm shift. The subsequent chapters present a systematic application of fuzzy logic in mathematical sciences and decision-making. New research directions are also provided at the end of each chapter. The application of soft computing in health sciences and in the modeling of epidemics including the effects of vaccination are also examined. Sustainability of green product development, optimum design of 3D steel frame, digitalization investment analysis in the maritime industry, forecasting return rates of individual pension funds are among some of the topics where engineering and industrial applications of soft computing have been studied in the book. The readers of this book will require minimum prerequisites of undergraduate studies in computation and mathematics. This book is meant for graduate students, faculty, and researchers who are applying soft computing in engineering and mathematics. New research directions are also provided at the end of each chapter.

In addition, we define convergence of sequence, Cauchy sequence and completeness in BNSMS with appropriate examples. Further, we represent bipolar neutrosophic soft mappings using a Cartesian product with relations on bipolar neutrosophic soft sets and developed a fixed point theorem for self maps with contractive conditions using BNS mappings.
