A trip to the Panama Canal Zone in January of 1975 was quite helpful in providing information concerning the attitudes of those presently involved in the military mission in the Panama Canal Zone. This trip also funished an opportunity to visit with officials of the Republic of Panama. All indications are that there is little possibility of any great change in the military presence in the Panama Canal Zone in the foreseeable future. (Author).
