This story is about a dog that was never supposed to take its first breath of air. Miraculously, Runt survives, with the help of Jeremiah and Elizabeth. Runt is soon taken from the farm he has grown to love. He is placed in a dangerous situation. Runt is now being used as a varmint hunter. He is now supposed to protect a dogfighter's prized dogs. He has given up on returning to the Smith farm. Just when he's settled in, his new home is raided by police. His new home is now the dog pound. Just when Runt has given up to life in the pound, he has hope. A young boy with a terminal illness decides to adopt him. Not because he is a great looking dog, but because Runt is missing hair just like the young boy. The boy begins to play again with his new blessing. One day, the young boy is experiencing seizures. Runt races to his room and simply comforts the boy. Miraculously, a bearded visitor heals both friends. With both parents of the boy present to witness the miracle, the Furry Blessings foundation is started. Runt is truly a Furry Blessing.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What Did I Do to Deserve This? I was wondering this one day in prayer and was even bold enough to ask. Lord, Im a good person, reallywhat did I do to deserve this? I even listed my good qualities to my Father because He seemed to need to be reminded. I only asked because I felt like I needed a reassuring word of how much God loves me or, how special I am to Him, or that these rough times would be coming to an end shortly. So, God in His wisdom and understanding of my self-pity and lack of inner-confidence at this moment took me to Hebrews 12:5 And have you quite forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you, His child? Look here, God was ready to encourage me, His child. How awesome is He? He said, My son (daughter), dont be angry when the Lord punishes you. Dont be discouraged when He has to show you where you are wrong. What? I dont get it. Exactly, I didnt get it. That was why I had to pray, Lord: dont let me miss it. He was going to make sure that I didnt miss it so that I could receive the full blessings of being a child of God. Where Are My Blessings is written in a direct and challenging style to inspire those seeking a deeper and more intimate relationship with Jesus. The author writes in a conversational style encouraging the Believer not to miss it! Whether or not you are going through tough times, or you are currently in a better place, Where Are My Blessings clearly teaches how to live a life that is not all about you, but all about Him! Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Jar of Blessings is a compilation of about 270 blessings and/or inspirational quotes that were sent to me by family and friends over a period of eleven years. I would write each blessing/quote on bright-colored squares of paper, fold them up, and put them in a big glass olive jar I have. For this book, I have taken each blessing and/or quote and written my thoughts about them. Some of the blessings/quotes are deeply personal while others are quite funny. This book reminds us that God sends us blessings and inspiration on a regular basis, whether it be a simple blessing such as a small act of kindness or a huge blessing such as sparing a life after what could have been a fatal accident. All too often, we are so busy that we don’t take the time to focus on the blessings all around us. Some of the blessings in this book were sent to me by adults, and others were sent by kids. For some reason, kids have an easier time recognizing blessings. One boy sent in the following blessing: “I am thankful a boy in my class spoke up and stopped someone from bullying me.” I was so blessed to know that there were students at the school who were willing to stand up for others. Bullying is such a problem in our schools, and it is so important that children and adults stand up against it. The blessings/quotes in this book deal with topics such as Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving, lack of finances, cancer, and many more. Hopefully, the blessings and/or quotes in this book will cause you to look at day-to-day life from a different perspective.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left few of us unaffected, but our healthcare workers have borne the brunt of its impact. Chaplains and clergy across all lines of faith have ministered to those caregivers through prayers and blessings. This curated collection of interfaith prayers, blessings, and poems was written by those who minister to healthcare workers. It’s a beautiful resource that those who work on our medical front lines can carry with them or keep at their workstations for daily inspiration. It can also be used by chaplains and pastors who offer support to medical personnel. Many of the prayers were written to meet specific needs during the pandemic, yet they speak to the shared grief and hope we all have carried as we continue to navigate this extraordinary time. Contributors include The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, Rev. Barbara Crafton, Catherine Meeks, Jennifer Grant, Rev. Ineda Pearl Adesanya, and Rev. Gayle Fisher-Stewart.
