Download or read book Were the A-Bombs Necessary? written by William Ervin Keener and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-08 with total page 57 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The news media reminds us from time to remember Pearl Harbor! How could we forget? The loss of life was hard to comprehend. Later, the facts become distorted by questioning the decision to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Where does this end? How do we rationalize the drteadful sequence of events? The united States has coped with the slings and arrows launched against us. We were not the aggressor in this fi ght -- Japan was! They never declared war until they had invaded a nation or an island with a massive army. The author has presented a look at Japan before their conquests to occupy and rule throughout the Western Pacifi c. He has provided the reader with our plan to conquer this foe prior to the dropping of the A-Bombs, the surrender and a look at the War Crimes Trials. Japan still claims America was the aggressor in this confl ict. As late as 1970, their Prime Minister has denied their military committed certain atrocities. This book will state otherwise!

For reading her Bible, she always used a magnifying glass, and she called it her "spy glass." She searched every day in her Bible for new scriptures to put into practice. Aunt Elois had her own car to drive, even in the 1950's. Maxine worked as a volunteer at a local hospital gift shop. She always remembered her many relatives with beautiful cards and thoughtful gifts. Maxine's father, Judge William Carey Graves, was a former Texas State Senator. He was a wonderful story teller and loved to smoke his special pipe. His huge collection of "National Geographic" magazines was started in the year 1911.
Book Synopsis Nice Place, Shame About the Human Race by : Allan Gilmour
Download or read book Nice Place, Shame About the Human Race written by Allan Gilmour and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-10-23 with total page 303 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: He knew the earth experiment was still working even though the human-element component was running very much behind schedule. Tommy made a grumbling sound and slowly shook his furry head from side to side, crying, Wars, greed, jealousy, illnesses, unhappiness, dissatisfaction, obsessions for power - Its just not what I had expected! I know, but give it time. It will happen one day. The earth assignment is not as old as all the other projects we have been working upon, Eric hastily reassured. Tommy was not about to give up on the present venture and with this thought in mind, he stared with his numerous eyes into Erics multiple eyes, and with many worrisome looks he mumbled, ..its a nice place, shame about the human race! The above is an extract taken from the final piece of my foreword for the book Nice place, shame about the human race which attempts to create a better awareness of our everyday actions and elucidates the importance of discovering ones true identity for a better chance of living a happier, more balanced life. Mounting dissatisfactions and insecurities of our modern world, together with the general inquisitiveness of human nature to wish observe ones actions, are areas of modern life which have gained popularity over the last decade when searching for reasoning or answers to our everyday problems. Commencing at the aftermath of World War II and continuing to the present day, a journey is undertaken in trying to illustrate modern western societys increased negative attitudes and behaviour and of the importance of discovering who we really are with a view to more personal happiness. This book is an entertaining, slightly ironical check-in-the-mirror, if you like, of modern behaviour. It observes how modern society has seemingly done away with aspiring to reach higher goals and standards, and at the same time, appears to have become content with mediocrity and of aiming towards lower levels of existence. My main justifications for writing such a book were primarily based upon the search for answers as to why society in the modern western world has reached its present state of development in the constitution of which it finds itself in the present day; if it is possible to live modern life in a more balanced, friendlier frame-of-mind which would inexorably, lead to more happiness, and as an attempt to help you, the reader, into being more aware of our daily conscious and subconscious conduct towards fellow-citizens and of the ensuing consequences of those actions. We are to journey through the many different stages of modern western life as based upon our upbringing in an industrialised society; and although you may have heard some of the themes and topics many times before, I have attempted to pick out the quintessence of noting how individuals react within the confines of our various societies and communal boundaries. What type of person is Nice place, shame about the human race aimed for? Well basically, anybody who is still interested about the values of our modern society, but specifically, when amid the interference and confusion of modern society, one is searching for personal direction into discovering oneself. Emphasis has been placed upon the significance of living ones own individuality, thus being aware of who one really is, and of the importance of taking more self-responsibility for ones actions. Here is a short list of reasons compiled for those who would possibly find my work of interest. 1. If feeling a little out-of-touch with our fast-paced modern society. 2. When interested in achieving more personal awareness in everyday activities. 3. When concerned about societies present course of development. 4. When trying to understand modern societies push and shove mentality. 5. When searching for more in-depth reasoning to our lives. 6. W

Book excerpt: Crossroads tells the exhilarating story of a young man's spiritual journey from the vantage point of secular events that transpired in his life. Intellectually stimulating in content and autobiographical in format, this book promises to inspire the reader to strive for both an intimate relationship with God and excellence in secular pursuits. The author presents a concise but revealing narrative of his life with a pinch of self-deprecating humor but devoid of forsaking the authenticity of biblical teaching. Crossroads is indeed a must-read for the young person, the mature, and the clueless.

Book Synopsis America Downfall Of A Great Society by : Steven B. Riddley
Download or read book America Downfall Of A Great Society written by Steven B. Riddley and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-07 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the greatest mysteries kept from the church world to be revealed at the end of this generation is what Daniel was told not to write in (Dan.12:9) and John not to reveal in (Rev.10:4). What the atheist refused to believe and what the church fail to see is the truth about the God of creation that all will answer too in this time of the end. The other sides of God, (the mystery revelations) are given to his prophets and messengers to warn the people. Being born in sin, we are blinded by the devil, never to see the light until our rebirth as a new creation in Christ. The horror of Israel's siege and fall from God's grace is about to be repeated two-fold at the end of this time of the gentiles. Just as there are those who believe there is no God and confessing Christians that limit the ability of the world to see Him. We are now in a world whose hope of restoration has been exhausted to the point of no return. The hidden mystery beyond 2012 will be what the entire world will see. What is revealed within the pages of this book leaves no doubt; whether alive or dead none of us creatures of his creation shall escape the judgments. Noted theologians may arguer their point on the level of knowledge learned in their seminaries only to discover the Holy Spirit they confess to have, failed to demonstrate these great truths to the fullness shall see the God of creation deliver his chosen people in times of trouble. Now the hidden mystery can be told to this generation before its fi nal end; for this cause Isaiah 5:14 (KJV) 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. The Author
