Book excerpt: "Ten years ago, Sue Cerulean realized the coastlines of her childhood along the New Jersey shore and of her adult years (a little-developed necklace of Gulf islands in Florida) were beginning to shift into the sea. She began to chronicle the story of "her" coastal areas as they are now, as they once were, and how they might be as Earth's oceans rise. Book Synopsis Results from Simulations of Continuously Integrated Doppler for Precise Aircraft Positioning by : George Hadgigeorge
Download or read book Results from Simulations of Continuously Integrated Doppler for Precise Aircraft Positioning written by George Hadgigeorge and published by . This book was released on 1971 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The paper reports AFCRL findings concerning precise positioning of aircraft with GEOCEIVERS. The conditions and assumptions made in the simulations are presented along with the associated rigorous error propagation. The assumptions were influenced by AFCRL's previous studies and experience with prototype GEOCEIVER data reductions and by the Navy's description of the production GEOCEIVERS. The error propagation indicates that when a well-designed highly redundant, tracking configuration of GEOCEIVERS of known location is exercised over a wide sweep of geometry, accuracies on the order of 0.1 to 0.3 m (1 sigma) can be expected for the recovery of that portion of the trajectory intercepted by the boundary of the tracking configuration.
