Book excerpt: “Are you feeling good about yourself now? You got your sister and your fiancé into the police station, and completely humiliated the Gil family. Do you even remember who you are? “Your sister is an actress. How is she supposed to show up in public after you made such a fuss today? Will she be continuing in the entertainment industry? What will happen to the relationship between the Gil and the Anderson family from now on? Have you even thought about that?” Zoe looked at him coldly. “Is that all you can think of?” Jaden stilled. “They are the ones at fault, so why are you here blaming me? What did you expect me to do? Turn a blind eye and pretend I didn’t see anything? Maybe you would have preferred that if I wished them a long and happy life together?” Jaden was lost for words for the first time. Then, his jaw clenched in outrage. “You can’t even keep your own man, yet you’re blaming others for stealing him? If you were any good at all, would he have dumped you for your sister? You don’t reflect on yourself when something happens and instead blame everyone else. You are just like your useless mother!” Founding out her boyfriend got her sister Pregnant and in order to revenge for what he did to her, Zoe Gil flirted with an unknown stranger and ended up marrying him in a flash. But why did the stranger turned out to be the most richest and powerful man in the city? Book 1: Chapters 1 to 72 Book 2 is also available in stores.

Book excerpt: This ebook contains all flashcards from our website, one every two pages. It is ideal for beginners and intermediate learners to acquire some of the most important initial words that make up the majority of everyday conversation. Various features like bidirectional listing make this flashcard ebook the perfect tool on your ebook reader to boost your language skills. This ebook is split into 4 chapters and contains a total of around 2000 vocabularies which you can also find on our website. Each of the words covers two pages. Page one represents the question in the form of the vocabulary you should translate. Page two delivers the answer with translation and additional information for that word if needed. To learn the vocabularies, simply go from page to page and study the words one by one. The 4 chapters in the book contain 2 sets of vocabularies, once learned from English to French (chapter 1 and 2), and after that from French to English (chapter 3 and 4). Within that, the first chapter has vocabularies ordered by topic whilest the second chapter has 1000 of the most common vocabularies you need to learn ordered by how often they are used in daily conversations. In addition to using this ebook, you can also go to our website and use the flashcards there to learn and test yourself. The most important part of using flashcards successfully is to use them daily. Studying 100 words a day every day of a week will have a much bigger impact than studying 700 words once a week. Once you know most words in a chapter, write down the ones you still have trouble with and concentrate on those few words several times a day. Once you have moved on to a later chapter, it is also good practice to come back to early chapters from time to time to make sure the easier words are still in your memory. Over time, you will figure out what works best for you. Good luck!

Book excerpt: His past was supposed to stay in the past. Dane, Last Five Seconds’ drummer, is the “quiet” one. It’s not just because his bandmates are boisterous and love sucking up the limelight. It’s part of who he is, where he comes from. But he’s determined to break free from the chains of his past. When it catches up to him, his comfortable world shatters, leaving him with an injured back and an inability to perform his work onstage. To get back on the road as soon as possible, he undergoes physical therapy to aid with his recovery. Enter Charlie. As his physical therapist, she’s a hell of a caregiver, but she’s also feisty. Sometimes she’s abrupt. And snappy. And downright rude. And, like Dane, she’s got a few hidden scars. But Dane sees something inside her, something that speaks to him. Although Charlie holds him at arm’s length, even after he’s no longer her patient, Dane is finally able to penetrate her armor. While his scars have never fully healed, hers go even deeper. As they work through their pasts together, Dane is convinced it will make them stronger, but can they ever move beyond their insecurities and hang ups enough to trust each other…or are they destined to be alone?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For readers of The Wild Edge of Sorrow and Crying in H-Mart--a profound and searching memoir of life, loss, grief, and renewal from one of American Buddhism’s most vital new voices. How do we grieve our losses? How can we care for our spirits? one long listening offers enduring companionship to all who ask these searing, timeless questions. Immigrant daughter, novice chaplain, bereaved friend: author Chenxing Han (Be the Refuge) takes us on a pilgrimage through the wilds of grief and laughter, pain and impermanence, reconnecting us to both the heartache and inexplicable brightness of being human. Eddying around three autumns of Han’s life, one long listening journeys from a mountaintop monastery in Taiwan to West Coast oncology wards, from oceanside Ireland to riverfront Phnom Penh. Through letters to a dying friend, bedside chaplaincy visits, and memories of a migratory childhood, Han's startling, searching memoir cuts a singular portrait of a spiritual caregiver in training. Just as we touch the depths, bracing for resolution, Han’s swift, multilingual prose sweeps us back to unknowingness: 不知最親切. Not knowing is most intimate. Chinese mothers, hillside graves. A dreamed olive tree, a lost Siberian crane. The music of scripts and silence. These shards--bright, broken, giddy, aching--are mirrors to our own lives in joy and sorrow. A testament to enduring connection by a fresh and urgent new literary voice, one long listening asks fearlessly into the stories we inhabit, the hopes we relinquish, and what it means simply to be, to and for the ones we love.
