This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 1041 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book describes the Proceedings of the International Conference on Nuclear Data for Science and Technology held at Jillich in May 1991. The conference was in a series of application oriented nuclear data conferences organized in the past under the auspices of the Nuclear Energy Agency-Nuclear Data Committee (NEANDC) and with the support of the Nuclear Energy Agency-Committee on Reactor Physics (NEACRP). It was the fIrst international conference on nuclear data held in Germany, with the scientific responsibility entrusted to the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry of the Research Centre Jillich. The scientific programme was established by the International Programme Committee in consultation with the International Advisers, and the NEA and IAEA cooperated in the organization. A total of 328 persons from 37 countries and fIve international organizations participated. The scope of these Proceedings extends to a wide range of interdisciplinary topics dealing with measu rement, calculation, evaluation and application of nuclear data, with a major emphasis on numerical data. Both energy and non-energy related applications are considered and due attention is given to some fundamental aspects relevant to the understanding of nuclear data.

Download or read book Publications of LASL Research, 1967--1971 written by and published by . This book was released on 1973 with total page 796 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This bibiography is a compilation of unclassified publications of work done at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (LASL) for the years 1967 through 1971. Papers published in those years are included regardless of when they were actually written. Publications received too late for inclusion in earlier compilations are also included. Declassification of previously classified reports is considered to constitute publication. All classified issuances are omitted. The bibliography includes LASL reports, papers released as non-LASL reports, journal articles, books, chapters of books, conference papers (whether published separately or as part of conference proceedings issued as books or reports) papers published in congressional hearings, theses, and U.S. patents. Papers are included in the following categories: accelerators, aerospace studies, analytical technology, astrophysics, atomic physics, biology and medicine, chemical kinetics, chemistry, cryogenics, crystallography, engineering and equipment, EPR and NMR studies, equation of state and shock studies, explosives and detonations, fission physics, health and safety, hydrodynamics and radiation transport, instruments, mathematics and computers, mediumenergy physics, metallurgy and ceramics technology, molecular spectroscopy, Moessbauer effect, neutronics and criticality studies, nuclear physics, nuclear safeguards, optics and lasers, organic chemistry, physics, plasma physics, propulsion systems, reactor technology, solid state science, theoretical physics, thermionics, -waste disposal, and miscellaneous. Author, report number, and KWIC indexes are included. (RWR).
Book Synopsis The Nuclear Fission Process by : Cyriel Wagemans
Download or read book The Nuclear Fission Process written by Cyriel Wagemans and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 1991-09-20 with total page 636 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text provides a comprehensive review of knowledge regarding nuclear fission from both the purely scientific and practical points of view. Topics discussed include fission barriers, spontaneous fission, neutron-induced fission cross-sections, photon- and electron-induced fission, charged particle induced fission fragment angular momentum and ternary fission. The characteristics of other reaction products are also discussed. Contributed articles from several distinguished nuclear scientists guarantee adequate treatment of some of the specialized research fields included in the text. Intended primarily as an introduction to nuclear fission for graduate students, this book will also provide useful information for nuclear physicists involved with research or teaching.
