Book Synopsis Robust Filtering for Uncertain Systems by : Huijun Gao
Download or read book Robust Filtering for Uncertain Systems written by Huijun Gao and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2014-04-10 with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph provides the reader with a systematic treatment of robust filter design, a key issue in systems, control and signal processing, because of the fact that the inevitable presence of uncertainty in system and signal models often degrades the filtering performance and may even cause instability. The methods described are therefore not subject to the rigorous assumptions of traditional Kalman filtering. The monograph is concerned with robust filtering for various dynamical systems with parametric uncertainties and focuses on parameter-dependent approaches to filter design. Classical filtering schemes, like H2 filtering and H¥ filtering, are addressed and emerging issues such as robust filtering with constraints on communication channels and signal frequency characteristics are discussed. The text features: · design approaches to robust filters arranged according to varying complexity level and emphasizing robust filtering in the parameter-dependent framework for the first time; · guidance on the use of special realistic phenomena or factors to describe problems more accurately and to improve filtering performance; · a unified linear matrix inequality formulation of design approaches for easy and effective filter design; · demonstration of the techniques of matrix decoupling technique, the generalized Kalman‒Yakubovich‒Popov lemma, the free weighting matrix technique and the delay modelling approach, in robust filtering; · numerous easy-to-follow simulation examples, graphical and tabular illustrations to help the reader understand the filter design approaches developed; and · an account of emerging issues on robust filtering for research to inspire future investigation. Robust Filtering for Uncertain Systems will be of interest to academic researchers specializing in linear, robust and optimal control and estimation and to practitioners working in tracking and network control or signal filtering, detection and estimation. Graduate students learning control and systems theory, signal processing or applied mathematics will also find the book to be a valuable resource.

This book was released on 2023-06-10 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents techniques such as the robust control and nonlinearity approximation using linear-parameter-varying (LPV) techniques. Meanwhile, the control of independently driven electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles is introduced. It covers a comprehensive literature review, robust state estimation with uncertain measurements, sideslip angle estimation with finite-frequency optimization, fault detection of vehicle steering systems, output-feedback control of in-wheel motor-driven electric vehicles, robust path following control with network-induced issues, and lateral motion control with the consideration of actuator saturation. This book is a good reference for researchers and engineers working on control of electric vehicles.
Book Synopsis Intelligent Control, Filtering and Model Reduction Analysis for Fuzzy-Model-Based Systems by : Xiaojie Su
Download or read book Intelligent Control, Filtering and Model Reduction Analysis for Fuzzy-Model-Based Systems written by Xiaojie Su and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-08-17 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book aims to introduce the state-of-the-art research of stability/performance analysis and optimal synthesis methods for fuzzy-model-based systems. A series of problems are solved with new approaches of design, analysis and synthesis of fuzzy systems, including stabilization control and stability analysis, dynamic output feedback control, fault detection filter design, and reduced-order model approximation. Some efficient techniques, such as Lyapunov stability theory, linear matrix inequality, reciprocally convex approach, and cone complementary linearization method, are utilized in the approaches. This book is a comprehensive reference for researchers and practitioners working on intelligent control, model reduction, and fault detection of fuzzy systems, and is also a useful source of information for senior undergraduates and graduates in these areas. The readers will benefit from some new concepts and methodologies with theoretical and practical significance in system analysis and control synthesis.

Book Synopsis Towards Integrating Control and Information Theories by : Song Fang
Download or read book Towards Integrating Control and Information Theories written by Song Fang and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-11-11 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book investigates the performance limitation issues in networked feedback systems. The fact that networked feedback systems consist of control and communication devices and systems calls for the integration of control theory and information theory. The primary contributions of this book lie in two aspects: the newly-proposed information-theoretic measures and the newly-discovered control performance limitations. We first propose a number of information notions to facilitate the analysis. Using those notions, classes of performance limitations of networked feedback systems, as well as state estimation systems, are then investigated. In general, the book presents a unique, cohesive treatment of performance limitation issues of networked feedback systems via an information-theoretic approach. This book is believed to be the first to treat the aforementioned subjects systematically and in a unified manner, offering a unique perspective differing from existing books.

Book Synopsis Nonlinear Control and Filtering for Stochastic Networked Systems by : Lifeng Ma
Download or read book Nonlinear Control and Filtering for Stochastic Networked Systems written by Lifeng Ma and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-12-07 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, control and filtering problems for several classes of stochastic networked systems are discussed. In each chapter, the stability, robustness, reliability, consensus performance, and/or disturbance attenuation levels are investigated within a unified theoretical framework. The aim is to derive the sufficient conditions such that the resulting systems achieve the prescribed design requirements despite all the network-induced phenomena. Further, novel notions such as randomly occurring sensor failures and consensus in probability are discussed. Finally, the theories/techniques developed are applied to emerging research areas. Key Features Unifies existing and emerging concepts concerning stochastic control/filtering and distributed control/filtering with an emphasis on a variety of network-induced complexities Includes concepts like randomly occurring sensor failures and consensus in probability (with respect to time-varying stochastic multi-agent systems) Exploits the recursive linear matrix inequality approach, completing the square method, Hamilton-Jacobi inequality approach, and parameter-dependent matrix inequality approach to handle the emerging mathematical/computational challenges Captures recent advances of theories, techniques, and applications of stochastic control as well as filtering from an engineering-oriented perspective Gives simulation examples in each chapter to reflect the engineering practice
