Tiie tide of Inlemperance will not be suffered to turn back, and again sweep over the world, destroying in its course every thing beautiful and valuable in it. This is our fond hpe, and this our firm belief. There is one peculiarity in Father Mathew's reading the pledge to the assembled thousands which throng round Teetotal Society is not a sectarian or political society. It has nothing whatever to do with such matters; it embraces members of every creed, and of every shade of politics. Teetotallers should not have any politics, whether lawful or unlawful, connected with them. Those who wish to mingle themselves in the discussion of politics should go somewhere else to do so....
