JG-Leathers presents us with another tale of a man?s darker dreams brought to reality, when Alexander?s internal pressures finally become too much to bear. When he reveals his secret fantasy to his wife, he has no idea of how dramatically his life is going to change. Alex asks for her assistance in experiencing a night of fetish-filled bondage, even though until this point she had not participated in his kink and fetish life. She decides to give it a try and he soon attains what he has so desperately craved to experience, and wants more. This first time for his wife proves to be a surprisingly enjoyable one, so much so in fact, that she immediately asserts her new-found power. He?s more than willingly at first and thrilled with the changed dynamic between them, as strenuous as her conditions become. Alex had thought the images of his darkest fetish interests were safely hidden in a secret file on his home computer, but his wife soon discovers the breadth of these, then begins to act on them also. Soon, ALL of his long-hidden interests begin to come true and Alexander?s world changes beyond all recognition. She now makes sure that he remains always locked into both his chastity belt and the wide cuffs and collar he?d thought of as toys. Until his revelation, Alex had always controlled the keys, but now she owns them and there are no spares, and no escape. Alex becomes her slave, now always leashed, then soon, she insists that he accept intimate piercings, constant bondage, restraint harnesses, and all types of other things he?d only dreamt of. However, much to his growing horror it all becomes an integral part of his life, then she invites new found kink friends to help her administer his new existence as her Torment Toy.JG-Leathers? powers of vivid, descriptive detail will easily place you in Alexander?s position, or as one of his controlling Mistresses, ensuring that he never escapes his secret fantasies, now fulfilled.

Book excerpt: Two Novels includes The Marvelously Twisted Tale of Lucas Fico and Gato Pech and The Morning Lark. The first novel is a dark thriller set in Northern Germany about a promiscuous cafe waiter turned psycho killer. Lucas Fico heads down the path of murder after encountering an impish geezer with mysteriously magical and psychic qualities named Gato Pech. Pech promises Lucas all the luck in the world in return for a few criminal favors: the seduction of a local married woman with the intent of making her commit suicide, a massacre of stray cats, and the poisoning of some of the township's homeless. Lucas agrees, hoping to gain the woman of his dreams as his mistress and become filthy rich through the unique enchantments of Gato Pech. He does, but his gains are short-lived. After several months, feeling he will be apprehended and brought to trial, the nerve-wracked waiter kills both his mistress and himself in a fiery murder-suicide. The Morning Lark is an urban drama set in New York about the decline of CEO William O'Henry's marriage. His betrayal begins when he shows more affection for his sultry Swedish coworker, Arvid Jonasonn, than for his wife, Catherine, or their kids. After coming home late from a night on the town, Catherine perceives the cheap perfume smell on William's lapels and opts to divorce him. However, Catherine's cousin, Eric Jonson, who is also O'Henry's underling, is already in love with Catherine. The two cousins manage to find love together in spite of O'Henry's jealousy.

Book excerpt: Cool, competent Terri August is nothing like her love-crazed self of ten years earlier, obsessed with rock star Clarke Masters, who called her his stalker. But when he appears as her label's new A&R rep, she's shocked to find he doesn't know her. Her logical side tells her to stay away from him, but every time she looks into those familiar emerald eyes, awareness sizzles along her nerve endings. Clarke's substance abuse in previous years has left holes in his memory and his life in chaos. He's looking for redemption, not romance, but his searing attraction to Terri shatters everything he knew about desire and makes him feel alive. Uncovering her secrets and facing his demons may be his only way to a new life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ursula K. Le Guin discusses her fiction, nonfiction, and poetry?both her process and her philosophy?with all the wisdom, profundity, and rigor we expect from one of the great writers of the last century. When the New York Times referred to Ursula K. Le Guin as America’s greatest writer of science fiction, they just might have undersold her legacy. It’s hard to look at her vast body of work?novels and stories across multiple genres, poems, translations, essays, speeches, and criticism?and see anything but one of our greatest writers, period. In a series of interviews with David Naimon (Between the Covers), Le Guin discusses craft, aesthetics, and philosophy in her fiction, poetry, and nonfiction respectively. The discussions provide ample advice and guidance for writers of every level, but also give Le Guin a chance to to sound off on some of her favorite subjects: the genre wars, the patriarchy, the natural world, and what, in her opinion, makes for great writing. With excerpts from her own books and those that she looked to for inspiration, this volume is a treat for Le Guin’s longtime readers, a perfect introduction for those first approaching her writing, and a tribute to her incredible life and work.

Book excerpt: * Don't miss the latest in the Arkady Renko series, THE SIBERIAN DILEMMA, by Martin Cruz Smith, a novelist 'that anyone who is serious about their craft views with respect bordering on awe' (Val McDermid) * 'Martin Cruz Smith makes tension rise through the page like a shark's fin’ Independent Once the Chief Investigator of the Moscow Militsiya, Arkady Renko is now a pariah of the Prosecutor's Office and has been reduced to investigating reports of late-night subway riders seeing the ghost of Joseph Stalin. Part political hocus-pocus, part wishful thinking - even the illusion of the bloody dictator has a higher approval rating than Renko. After being left by his lover for a more popular and successful detective, Renko's investigation becomes a jealousy-fuelled quest leading to the barren fields of Tver, where millions of soldiers fought, and lost their lives. Here, scavengers collect bones, weapons and paraphernalia off the remains of those slain, but there's more to be found than bullets and boots. Praise for Martin Cruz Smith: 'The story drips with atmosphere and authenticity – a literary triumph' David Young, bestselling author of Stasi Child ‘Smith not only constructs grittily realistic plots, he also has a gift for characterisation of which most thriller writers can only dream' Mail on Sunday 'Smith was among the first of a new generation of writers who made thrillers literary' Guardian 'Brilliantly worked, marvellously written . . . an imaginative triumph' Sunday Times 'A wonderful surprise of a novel’ William Ryan, author of The Constant Soldier

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mason Allyon Dwennon is mad- both angry with the world mad and strapped in a rubber room while wearing a Napoleon hat mad. Diagnosed as a manic-depressive schizophrenic, Mason exists as a self-exiled pariah, skirting the fringes of humanity as the sole member of his Square Peg Society. Divorced, alone, bitter, depressed, haunted by voices and visions and on the verge of suicide, Mason experiences a major psychotic episode and is hospitalized. There he is finally diagnosed as having dissociative identity disorder and found to have at least eight different and distinct personalities. Negotiations with the Sniper is a first person account of Mason's ordeal. The story details a three-year free association session with his imaginary psychiatrist (A wise-cracking, life-size plastic Barbie head who speaks with a thick German accent and refers to himself as Dr. Carl). As the story progresses, each of Mason's eight personalities reveals him or herself in their own voices as they search for the elusive something responsible for all of his suffering. To compound his problems, Mason continuously floats in and out of fugue states and has to reconcile missing periods of time. All too frequently, his habitués are less-than well behaved during his mental lapses. In Mason's own words, "Many's the time I've had to stand before a screaming, slavering, red-faced employer, manager, shop foreman, neighbor, police officer, parent, sibling, spouse, in-law, teacher, first sergeant, nun, etc. and bear the tirade meant for one of my compadres, while unable to offer any reasonable excuse for my actions." Despite the sinister allusion to a concealed killer, the title actually refers to the cruel, thoughtless and ofttimes well-intentioned actions of those persons most influential in young Mason's life, responsible for triggering his psychotic responses.

Book excerpt: People hunting people for sport--an idea both shocking and fascinating. In 1924 Richard Connell published a short story that introduced this concept to the world, where it has remained ever since--as evidenced by the many big- and small-screen adaptations and inspirations. Since its publication, Connell's award-winning "The Most Dangerous Game" has been continuously anthologized and studied in classrooms throughout America. Raising questions about the nature of violence and cruelty, and the ethics of hunting for sport, the thrilling story spawned a new cinematic subgenre, beginning with RKO's 1932 production of The Most Dangerous Game, and continuing right up to today. This book examines in-depth all the cinematic adaptations of the iconic short story. Each film chapter has a synopsis, a "How Dangerous Is It?" critique, an overall analysis, a production history, and credits. Five additional chapters address direct to video, television, game shows, and almost "dangerous" productions. Photographs, extensive notes, bibliography and index are included.
