Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Doctor Who has always contained a rich current of religious themes and ideas. In its very first episode it asked how humans rationalize the seemingly supernatural, as two snooping schoolteachers refused to accept that the TARDIS was real. More recently it has toyed with the mystery of Doctor's real name, perhaps an echo of ancient religions and rituals in which knowledge of the secret name of a god, angel or demon was thought to grant a mortal power over the entity. But why does Doctor Who intersect with religion so often, and what do such instances tell us about the society that produces the show and the viewers who engage with it? The writers of Religion and Doctor Who: Time and Relative Dimensions in Faith attempt to answer these questions through an in-depth analysis of the various treatments of religion throughout every era of the show's history. While the majority of chapters focus on the television show Doctor Who, the authors also look at audios, novels, and the response of fandom. Their analyses--all written in an accessible but academically thorough style--reveal that examining religion in a long-running series such as Doctor Who can contribute to a number of key debates within faith communities and religious history. Most importantly, it provides another way of looking at why Doctor Who continues to inspire, to engage, and to excite generations of passionate fans, whatever their position on faith. The contributors are drawn from the UK, the USA, and Australia, and their approaches are similarly diverse. Chapters have been written by film scholars and sociologists; theologians and historians; rhetoricians, philosophers and anthropologists. Some write from the perspective of a particular faith or belief; others write from the perspective of no religious belief. All, however, demonstrate a solid knowledge of and affection for the brilliance of Doctor Who.

A humming noise came from within. It would be used to open a larger sphere recently found in the Inspiration copper mine. Back in 1876, a town had been named after this strange object--a globe with continents on it. The town is Globe, Arizona, USA. The globe of metals was sent to the Smithsonian Institute years before, but it was "lost" over a period. The town sent a professor from ASU to investigate. He learned the globe was being given to a government leader in Asia as a gift for the privilege of buying oil and doing business. The professor located the globe in a hidden area of the Smithsonian and removed it before it could be sent. The professor is chased across the country but delivers the globe to the town council in Globe, Arizona. Word goes out and the professor is fired from his job, but not before he gives out six hundred As to his students. His wife leaves him. He loses his house. His car is continuously being repossessed. Once he is saved by a group of bikers at a place called Hole in the Wall, who stand off the collectors by shooting holes in their car. Later, hostages would be taken and, in return, the globe delivered (ordered by a secret society). During the battle in 1976, a motorcycle explodes and uncovers a second object with ancient figures and symbols. The globe is on this artifact with wings. An investigative reporter for the Street Journal tells about this object in an interview with the media. The professor hears and decides to go take a look. He learns that this is the long-lost capstone to a pyramid, which reveals the lost and ancient truths built into the pyramids: lost over thousands of years. (The symbols on both are the same.) The capstone tells of two objects--a globe of pure metals and a sphere in an underground civilization. The sphere vibrates when touched, the globe shows where the sphere is located. Is this the globe for which the town was named? The professor investigates further. What of this underground sphere? Who could know that it would be found in 1986? What would the globe reveal? What is the point? Read the story.

Book excerpt: My eyes were opened to the spiritual realm at a very young age. As I go through the challenges and battles I have faced from early childhood through my young-adult life, I explore the weapons of warfare the Bible clearly lays out for us. As I journey through Ephesians 6, I explore what each piece of the armor of God protects and how to use it. My goal is to impart wisdom from today's difficulties the modern-day woman faces--marriage, children, financial hardships, weight issues--and divulge how spiritual warfare plays its part in all of these areas of life. I don't want us to give up or give in to life's ever-increasing demands, but to take back from Satan what God has given us! I challenge you not just to cope, but to Arm Yourself!

Book excerpt: A new, updated edition puts all the Doctors under the microscope—including Matt Smith—with facts, figures and opinions on every Doctor Who story televised Doctor Who has seen many ups and downs in its long and colorful history, and this guide tracks all of them. From humble beginnings in November 1963 to its cancellation in 1989 and eventual resurrection in 2005, Doctor Who has always been a quintessential element of sci-fi, and British popular culture. The spine-chilling theme music, the multidimensional Tardis, the evil metallic Daleks, and the ever-changing face of the Doctor himself have become trademarks of the program's witty, eclectic style. Over the years Doctor Who has embraced such diverse genres as science fiction, horror, westerns, history, romance, adventure, and comedy—but has never strayed from its first and most important remit: telling damn good stories. Eleven Doctors, a multitude of companions, and a veritable cornucopia of monsters and villains: the show has it all. This guide includes sections on TV, radio, cinema, stage, and internet spin-offs; novels and audio adventures; missing episodes; and an extensive website listing and bibliography.

Book excerpt: How did it come to be called: the Loveolution? An unexplained urge when I woke one morning, a feeling that defied all logic, a moment in time that stood on one single drop of blood. It all came down to one simple question: Did I really have leukemia? Loveolution is not yet a word in our dictionary, however, if broken down the word evolution means any process of formation or growth and development. Taking it one step further, adding love to evolution, becomes Loveolution, which I believe is the process of creating oneness and the foundation of love. It takes a village to help us each personally evolve towards oneness. Always a Loveolution is an amazing journey, which will help you rediscover a connection to your soul without any boundaries, rules, or judgments. It is an experience that will give you the tools to start your personal journey to align your mind, body, and soul. It creates confidence and a safe place to step forward and empower yourself, reigniting your inner light. It is a blessed opportunity to leave all suffering and/or pain in the past, a gift to experience God's guidance from the depths of your soul. It is my prayer and hope that this story will offer some wisdom to awaken your spirit to the elements of divine oneness.
