Book excerpt: Exposing The Satanic Lullaby aka "the conscious choice to remain ignorant", provides a comprehensive understanding of the ancient methods of deception used to imprison the soul. Readers are challenged to solve a riddle, based upon the Economic Principle of Self Interest, which is the foundation of the entire argument. The scientifically proven Principle of Self Interest, not only determined/created the Laws of Supply & Demand, it is the engine of life for all living things. The foundation of the human logic and belief structure is a fundamental commitment to the truth (only sane choice), which inherently expands to include all possibilities. With God, all things are possible including the supernatural, which science is at a loss to explain. Science prides itself in the use of objective scientific reasoning, yet science employs subjective reasoning in order to arbitrarily dismiss God as a possibility. Thereby, failing their fundamental commitment to the truth and to objective scientific reasoning.Popular expressions were used as the framework to form a comprehensive argument, for a simple leap of faith. A leap which has a reward valued at more than all the riches of this world combined. The key to solving my riddle parallels the Biblical discussion of the "key" to obtaining a key to the gates of Heaven and kingdom of God.Few events are more frustrating than losing keys. If you can relate to the relief of finding a lost set of keys, imagine the joy and responsibility of holding the precious key to the gates of Heaven and Kingdom of God. The key was made available to all men, as a reward for a simple leap of faith. Many readers have unconsciously already solved my riddle, but still can't answer it.My research and investigation resulted in the remarkable discovery of an answer that had never been recorded in history. Later, I discovered the Holy Bible had provided a major clue to discover the answer, but did not pose the question.Plato defined Wisdom as a "condition of the soul". My intention is for those who read Exposing the Satanic Lullaby, to enable and enhance that condition.

Old glory blows in a torrential wind of change—ushering in an era of decay and destruction. She has become tattered and worn. We may possibly maintain the appearance of strength and invincibility for a time—but it is not sustainable. Yes—America will crumble under the duress imposed by the Democrat – Progressive – Liberal – Socialist mindset and agenda. There is decay beneath the surface—and cracks in our national foundation abound. The world giant is being plundered of its very essence and undermined by an evil force. There is a movement within our gates that encourages and supports wickedness. If allowed to continue their debased onslaught—Progressive Liberals will succeed in transforming America. They will fundamentally change America into their twisted vision of what our nation should present to God and the world. If their depraved agenda continues to fester and proliferate-—this will be the demise of the greatest nation on earth. This is not a theory but a fact as evidenced by those among us who have eyes to see and ears to hear. This agenda of destruction was conceived in a very dark place—a dark place indeed.

Book excerpt: A Woman Through and Through In a culture that can belittle womanhood on the one hand—making it irrelevant—and glorify it on the other—making it everything—it’s hard to know what it really means to be a woman. But when we understand womanhood through the lens of Scripture, we see that we need a bigger category for what God has called “woman.” This book breathes fresh air into our womanhood, reminding us what life in Christ—as a woman—looks like. When we see that we are women in all we do, we can be at peace with how God has created us, recognizing womanhood as an essential part of Christ’s mission and work.

Book excerpt: Madison Spencer, the liveliest and snarkiest dead girl in the universe, continues the afterlife adventure begun in Chuck Palahniuk’s bestseller Damned. Just as that novel brought us a brilliant Hell that only he could imagine, Doomed is a dark and twisted apocalyptic vision from this provocative storyteller. The bestselling Damned chronicled Madison’s journey across the unspeakable (and really gross) landscape of the afterlife to confront the Devil himself. But her story isn’t over yet. In a series of electronic dispatches from the Great Beyond, Doomed describes the ultimate showdown between Good and Evil. After a Halloween ritual gone awry, Madison finds herself trapped in Purgatory—or, as mortals like you and I know it, Earth. She can see and hear every detail of the world she left behind, yet she’s invisible to everyone who’s still alive. Not only do people look right through her, they walk right through her as well. The upside is that, no longer subject to physical limitations, she can pass through doors and walls. Her first stop is her parents’ luxurious apartment, where she encounters the ghost of her long-deceased grandmother. For Madison, the encounter triggers memories of the awful summer she spent upstate with Nana Minnie and her grandfather, Papadaddy. As she revisits the painful truth of what transpired over those months (including a disturbing and finally fatal meeting in a rest stop’s fetid men’s room, in which . . . well, never mind), her saga of eternal damnation takes on a new and sinister meaning. Satan has had Madison in his sights from the very beginning: through her and her narcissistic celebrity parents, he plans to engineer an era of eternal damnation. For everyone. Once again, our unconventional but plucky heroine must face her fears and gather her wits for the battle of a lifetime. Dante Alighieri, watch your back; Chuck Palahniuk is gaining on you.

Book excerpt: A church without an authentic worship experience is merely a social club with a religious overtone. This book is purposed to expose, enlighten, and encourage a greater level of intense intimacy with God through praise and worship. It exposes how sexuality and spirituality are so extremely parallel to each other, giving insight on why sex is so vital in human expression but yet creates an ongoing struggle between spirit and flesh. Prayerfully, this book will inspire the entire religious community to revisit and revive what is called the Azusa Street Movement, where people sought God to the point that an outpouring of God resulted in nonstop days and weeks of signs, wonders, and miracles. This is a clarion call to make God the primary and only focal point of the church, as He should be! Even though we value our Spiritual Leaders, i.e., Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers and even Recording Artists, we may have become guilty of prioritizing personalities above God's presence! It's time for the church to get pregnant with the power of God once again. Pregnancy only occurs through intimacy. Read this book...find out where you are in proximity of the throne room.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Torture is an open secret in Chicago. Nobody in power wants to acknowledge this grim reality, but everyone knows it happens—and that the torturers are the police. Three to five new claims are submitted to the Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission of Illinois each week. Four hundred cases are currently pending investigation. Between 1972 and 1991, at least 125 black suspects were tortured by Chicago police officers working under former Police Commander Jon Burge. As the more recent revelations from the Homan Square “black site” show, that brutal period is far from a historical anomaly. For more than fifty years, police officers who took an oath to protect and serve have instead beaten, electrocuted, suffocated, and raped hundreds—perhaps thousands—of Chicago residents. In The Torture Letters, Laurence Ralph chronicles the history of torture in Chicago, the burgeoning activist movement against police violence, and the American public’s complicity in perpetuating torture at home and abroad. Engaging with a long tradition of epistolary meditations on racism in the United States, from James Baldwin’s The Fire Next Time to Ta-Nehisi Coates’s Between the World and Me, Ralph offers in this book a collection of open letters written to protesters, victims, students, and others. Through these moving, questing, enraged letters, Ralph bears witness to police violence that began in Burge’s Area Two and follows the city’s networks of torture to the global War on Terror. From Vietnam to Geneva to Guantanamo Bay—Ralph’s story extends as far as the legacy of American imperialism. Combining insights from fourteen years of research on torture with testimonies of victims of police violence, retired officers, lawyers, and protesters, this is a powerful indictment of police violence and a fierce challenge to all Americans to demand an end to the systems that support it. With compassion and careful skill, Ralph uncovers the tangled connections among law enforcement, the political machine, and the courts in Chicago, amplifying the voices of torture victims who are still with us—and lending a voice to those long deceased.

Book excerpt: When Gabriel Lynch moves with his mother and brother from a brownstone in Baltimore to a dirt-floor hovel on a homestead in Kansas, he is not pleased. He does not dislike his new stepfather, a former slave, but he has no desire to submit to a life of drudgery and toil on the untamed prairie. So he joins up with a motley crew headed for Texas only to be sucked into an ever-westward wandering replete with a mindless violence he can neither abet nor avoid–a terrifying trek he penitently fears may never allow for a safe return. David Anthony Durham is a genuine talent bent on devastating originality and Gabriel’s Story is as formidable a debut as we have witnessed.
