Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For fans of TLC’s Long Island Medium and anyone interested in the big questions of life, death, and finding out what’s important in between, New York Times bestselling author and medium Theresa Caputo shares how she discovered her gift and her many encounters with Spirit. Beloved medium Theresa Caputo, star of the hit television show Long Island Medium, opens the door to her world and invites you to experience her exceptional gift of communicating with those who’ve crossed over to the Other Side. The always funny, frank, and down-to-earth medium—whether she’s talking to her family, the local butcher, or the souls of those who’ve passed on—began communicating with Spirit at the age of four, but didn’t fully accept her gift until she was thirty-three years old. She had a good life as a busy wife and working mom, but also suffered from chronic anxiety that, as it turned out, came from ignoring her abilities. Once Theresa began channeling, she realized that she felt much better after delivering a message from Spirit and releasing that energy. Since then she’ s used her extraordinary gift to help people heal from the loss of their loved ones. Theresa feels that it’s her purpose to make us all aware that there is more to life than what we see here in the physical world. She wants you to know that your deceased loved ones are safe and at peace, and that they’re now with you in a different way—watching over you, loving you, and assisting you from the Other Side. She also wants you to realize that the unexplainable things you sense and feel from these souls are real, and that it’s healthy and essential to acknowledge them. There’s More to Life Than This lends insight on how Theresa’s mediumship works, what happens to your soul when you die, what Spirit says Heaven is like, what the deceased want you to know, the importance of living a positive life, and the many roles that your family, friends, angels, guides, souls of faith, and God play here and in the afterlife. It also explores how to safely connect with Spirit, so that you can recognize when your loved ones are reaching out. Through Theresa’s personal story, compelling anecdotes, and fascinating client readings, she teaches us about how she communicates with Spirit and helps us to understand and appreciate the important lessons and touching messages that we’re meant to embrace every day.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From a historical perspective, similarities among the Lutheran churches in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden are easily understood. But these previously homogeneous northern societies, built on a Lutheran tradition with close ties between church and state, are now considered to be among the most secular in the world, as well as being impacted by a growing presence of other religions. These changes present a major challenge to the churches concerning how to relate to the state and how to be a "folk church." The goal of this volume is to explore how Lutheran identity presently shapes churches in the north. What are the burning issues engaging these churches at the beginning of the third millennium? Are there signs that they are affected by the global emergence of a theology and practice commonly known as Neo-Pentecostal or Charismatic? What is the situation for women in these churches embedded in societies ranked among the world's most egalitarian? In what ways does their Lutheran heritage influence how these churches shape themselves today? The point of departure for this study is not a predetermined, normative understanding of what a Lutheran church is or should be, but the fact that the churches presented here represent what "Lutheranism" is today in this part of the world. Contributors include Anne-Louise Eriksson, Steinunn Arnthrudur Bjornsdottir, Solveig Anna Boasdottir, Niclas Blader, Carl Reinhold Brakenhielm, Thomas Ekstrand, Arnfriður Guðmundsdottir, Goran Gunner, Harald Hegstad, Hjalti Hugason, Roger Jensen, Halvard Johannessen, Peter Lodberg, Benedicte Hammer Præstholm, Karin Sarja, Ulrika Svalfors, Merete Thomassen, Marie Thomsen, Marie Vejrup Nielsen, and Else Marie Wiberg Pedersen.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the present era various international organizations, such as FAO, UNO, IAEA, FNCA, etc., have unanimously agreed that millions of people in both developing and developed countries are not only facing a shortage of food, but also non-availability of nutrients. The main reason put forward by these agencies is that there is less genetic diversity prevalent in the major crops, which has been further diminished since the inception of conventional plant breeding. Since the first decade of the last century the mutation breeding approach has been pivotal in enhancing the genetic diversity of crops, thereby enriching the genetic pool. ‘Mutagenesis: exploring genetic diversity of crops’ describes the latest achievements in mutation breeding, with a particular focus on the development of novel mutant varieties and F1 hybrids of crops highly superior to the parental ones. The book details experimental as well as literary studies of induced mutagenesis and its role in developing the new potent varieties. The book will be useful for agricultural policy making authorities in countries of agricultural importance, scientific researchers, breeders, teachers and students keen to use mutation breeding and to explore its hidden potential to secure food and nutrient availability for the growing world population.

This book was released on 2023-07-31 with total page 18 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a booklet on the deep science embedded in Patanjali Yoga Sutras. According to me Patanjali was a true scientist who gave the first knowledge about the control of thought and mind and about universal laws governing time and space. Unfortunately till now none of the commentaries on Yoga Sutras have explored them through the lens of science. I feel this essay will help overcome that lacunae. Sage Patanjali has been my teacher. Whatever little I have written in the last 20 years on spirituality or thought about the interaction of mind-matter and higher things have been inspired by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and I have always felt that his spirit has guided me in this journey. Yoga sutras is basically a book of life or how to maximize your living potential. It also teaches little bit of Hatha Yoga but the most important lesson it teaches in a scientific manner is how to make the mind (the instrument of comprehension) very powerful so that it can comprehend any secret of the Universe. And then use that powerful mind on different parts of body to get supernatural powers! Patanjali’s writings are like an infinite ocean. The more you read them the deeper is the knowledge. So this small booklet is a work in progress. I have been writing about the science in Yoga sutras for quite some time and have dealt them cursorily in my two books; Nature of Human Thought and Exploring the Mind of God. But this article is an attempt to explore it further and in depth. It is also surprising and fascinating that these sutras were written more than 2000 to 3000 years ago (the exact date is not known) and yet they present such scientifically advanced knowledge. One can only speculate that Sage Patanjali was not of this world but came from an advanced civilization to impart this knowledge. I have alluded to this aspect in this booklet. Exploring Deep Science in Patanjali Yoga Sutras. The booklet has the following sections: Who was Patanjali; About his Sutras or the book; Science of Sutras; Was Patanjali an extraterrestrial being; Patanjali and stars; Major Omissions in Sutras; and the final section is about my teacher Sage Patanjali. This is not a book in the true sense but a small booklet and my desire to publish it is to make it available to a wide audience for discussions and debate. I would therefore greatly appreciate it if the readers can comment on it either in Google book site or can send email to me. Anil K Rajvanshi Phaltan, Maharashtra, India June 2023. [email protected]
