Book excerpt: These are the stories you never learned in school. Ice Ace voyagers, Chinese, Viking, Phoenician, Hebrew, Libyan, and Irish explorers came to America years before Columbus. This book outlines eighteen different waves of adventurers who came to America, some to settle permanently, others just to trade for natural resources of the New World. Many of these stories are controversial, but taken in their entirety, they make for a compelling argument that the simplistic story of Columbus "discovering" America can no longer be accepted.

Did the Treasure Fleets, led by Admiral Zheng He, discover many parts of the world before Christopher Columbus? While it is known that Christopher Columbus discovered America and Europe ushered in the Age of Discovery, there is an ongoing debate on the 'unknown' areas depicted in Western maps from the period and earlier. There is agreement among scholars that certain areas seem to have been mapped out prior to the arrival of Western explorers.Chinese Global Exploration in the Pre-Columbian Era: Evidence from an Ancient World Map analyses the world's first modern map — known as Kunyu Wanguo Quantu (KWQ) 《坤輿萬國全圖》 in Chinese, translated as the 'Complete Geographical Map of All Kingdoms of the World' to demonstrate evidence of Chinese global exploration in the Pre-Columbian era. The map of concern was first printed by Italian missionary, Matteo Ricci in 1602, and has been purported to be of entirely European origin, based on Ricci's former maps which he had brought to China in 1582.This book, thus, seeks to be transformational in presenting essential new insights on Pre-Columbian world history and Chinese global exploration, moving away from the norm of the studies of geography and cartography by:

But in recent years, as new evidence has come to light, our understanding of history has changed. We know now that Columbus was among the last explorers to reach the Americas, not the first"--Jacket.

This book was released on 2016-09-10 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The rivers, lakes and seas of the world were originally the highways of the ancients. It was too hard traveling overland unless one had to. It was also difficult to move large amounts of trade goods whereas you could load a fair few cattle or bundles of trade goods even on a coracle let alone larger watercraft such as rafts or boats. Our relics and ruins line the waterways of North America quite often with clusters along the river banks of different cultures and epochs but in the same areas. Why particular areas? Sometimes rivers had to be bypassed where there were rapids or waterfalls and other times at confluences of major rivers there were major trading ports with accompanying stone built forts and pyramids which are now called mounds which is a little derogatory as some of these mounds such as the main one at Cahokia were of a similar size to the Great Pyramid in Egypt. This was a North America of large cities and communities, amazing canal systems and mile after mile of farmland which reverted to wilderness after the death by European diseases of the original inhabitants. The wilderness was new and was a result of mass death and destruction. This was a different North America which only the earliest Spanish chroniclers such as De Soto saw though legends abound of Welsh princes, Romans and their contemporaries and Vikings abound. And so do their relics along the same waterways. Come travelling up the rivers, lakes and seas of the past around and on the continent and discover a North America that you never realized existed at all.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Was America truly unknown to the outside world until Christopher Columbus "discovered" it in 1492? Could a people gifted enough to raise the Great Pyramid more than 4,000 years ago have lacked the skills necessary to build a ship capable of crossing the Atlantic? Did the Phoenicians, who circumnavigated the African continent in 600 bc, never consider sailing farther? Were the Vikings, the most fearless warriors and seafarers of all time, terrified at the prospect of a transoceanic voyage? If so, how are we to account for an Egyptian temple accidentally unearthed by Tennessee Valley Authority workers in 1935? What is a beautifully crafted metal plate with the image of a Phoenician woman doing in the Utah desert? And who can explain the discovery of Viking houses and wharves excavated outside of Boston? These enigmas are but a tiny fraction of the abundant physical proof for Old World visitors to our continent hundreds and thousands of years ago. In addition, Sumerians, Minoans, Romans, Celts, ancient Hebrews, Indonesians, Africans, Chinese, Japanese, Welsh, Irish, and the Knights Templar all made their indelible, if neglected, mark on our land.
