Download or read book Practical Transistors and Linear Integrated Circuits written by Joseph D. Greenfield and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 1988-01-01 with total page 686 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This introduction to transistors and linear electronics acquaints readers with the most commonly used transistor circuits and trains them to understand, analyze and design these circuits. Computer programs, written in BASIC, and h parameters are used throughout the book. Chapters cover diode circuits (clippers, clampers, photo-diodes) and the BJT transistor. Curve tracers and the saturation and cutoff regions of a transistor are also discussed. Thevenin's equivalent circuit is used frequently, and 4-11, a very important transistor gain equation, is included. Other topics include JFETS, multiple-transistor circuits, the frequency response of transistors, the analysis of high frequency response, and amplifiers and oscillators. The chapter on feedback is limited to two types of feedback, but these are examined from several perspectives.

Book Synopsis Electronic Circuit Design by : Thomas Henry O'Dell
Download or read book Electronic Circuit Design written by Thomas Henry O'Dell and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1988-09-15 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The theme of this new textbook is the practical element of electronic circuit design. Dr O'Dell, whilst recognising that theoretical knowledge is essential, has drawn from his many years of teaching experience to produce a book which emphasises learning by doing throughout. However, there is more to circuit design than a good theoretical foundation coupled to design itself. Where do new circuit ideas come from? This is the topic of the first chapter, and the discussion is maintained throughout the following eight chapters which deal with high and low frequency small signal circuits, opto-electronic circuits, digital circuits, oscillators, translinear circuits, and power amplifiers. In each chapter, one or more experimental circuits are described in detail for the reader to construct, a total of thirteen project exercises in all. The final chapter draws some conclusions about the fundamental problem of design in the light of the circuits that have been dealt with in the book. The book is intended for use alongside a foundation text on the theoretical basis of electronic circuit design. It is written not only for undergraduate students of electronic engineering but also for the far wider range of reader in the hard or soft sciences, in industry or in education, who have access to a simple electronics laboratory.
Book Synopsis The Art of Electronics: The x Chapters by : Paul Horowitz
Download or read book The Art of Electronics: The x Chapters written by Paul Horowitz and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2020-01-30 with total page 522 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Art of Electronics: The x-Chapters expands on topics introduced in the best-selling third edition of The Art of Electronics, completing the broad discussions begun in the latter. In addition to covering more advanced materials relevant to its companion, The x-Chapters also includes extensive treatment of many topics in electronics that are particularly novel, important, or just exotic and intriguing. Think of The x-Chapters as the missing pieces of The Art of Electronics, to be used either as its complement, or as a direct route to exploring some of the most exciting and oft-overlooked topics in advanced electronic engineering. This enticing spread of electronics wisdom and expertise will be an invaluable addition to the library of any student, researcher, or practitioner with even a passing interest in the design and analysis of electronic circuits and instruments. You'll find here techniques and circuits that are available nowhere else.
Book Synopsis MOSFET Models for VLSI Circuit Simulation by : Narain D. Arora
Download or read book MOSFET Models for VLSI Circuit Simulation written by Narain D. Arora and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 628 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) transistors are the basic building block ofMOS integrated circuits (I C). Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) circuits using MOS technology have emerged as the dominant technology in the semiconductor industry. Over the past decade, the complexity of MOS IC's has increased at an astonishing rate. This is realized mainly through the reduction of MOS transistor dimensions in addition to the improvements in processing. Today VLSI circuits with over 3 million transistors on a chip, with effective or electrical channel lengths of 0. 5 microns, are in volume production. Designing such complex chips is virtually impossible without simulation tools which help to predict circuit behavior before actual circuits are fabricated. However, the utility of simulators as a tool for the design and analysis of circuits depends on the adequacy of the device models used in the simulator. This problem is further aggravated by the technology trend towards smaller and smaller device dimensions which increases the complexity of the models. There is extensive literature available on modeling these short channel devices. However, there is a lot of confusion too. Often it is not clear what model to use and which model parameter values are important and how to determine them. After working over 15 years in the field of semiconductor device modeling, I have felt the need for a book which can fill the gap between the theory and the practice of MOS transistor modeling. This book is an attempt in that direction.
