Ces sediments pelagiques ont fait l'objet: d'une analyse detaillee de lithofacies, par le denombrement banc a banc, de l'analyse geochimique elementaire et isotopique des carbonates (sc13, mg, sr, mn, fe), de la reconnaissance biostratigraphique, par les foraminiferes planctoniques, de l'analyse de la matiere organique (ih, io, ). L'ensemble des resultats obtenus a conduit a preciser: le mecanisme de mise en place de l'evenement anoxique oceanique (o.a.e.) de la limite cenomano-turonienne en ombrie, les mecanismes d'incorporation d'elements en traces en fonction de la bathymetrie et de la stratification des eaux, l'evidence de la progression graduelle de l'anoxie du bassin vers les marges, liee a un contexte eustatique positif. Ces resultats permettent egalement de reaffirmer l'interet de la geochimie des carbonates en tant qu'outil stratigraphique et d'environnement pour les series anciennes souvent mal connues
