Book excerpt: Resumen: Este proyecto tiene como objetivo principal realizar ensayos de evaluación de combustibles premezclados en motores de combustión de encendido provocado. Para esta tarea se adecuó un banco de pruebas motor-volante, en el cual se pudo estudiar las revoluciones del motor, emisión de gases y consumo de combustible. Para la adecuación del banco se utilizó un sensor inductivo y un sensor óptico de barrera, así como una tarjeta de adquisición de datos y el desarrollo del programa respectivo para el tratamiento de la señal y, además, de un generador de hidrógeno con una válvula de paso para regulación del gas que entra a la cámara de combustión del motor. Se desarrollaron pruebas para siete posiciones diferentes de la válvula de paso de hidrógeno en dos secuencias de muestreo. En la primera se llevó el motor al régimen de máxima aceleración y se le agregó la carga gradualmente mediante un embrague. En la segunda secuencia, el motor se sometió a un ciclo escalonado de tres posiciones de aceleración, estando ya aplicada la carga.
