Book excerpt: Se realizó un ensayo en un predio ubicado en la Comuna de San Carlos, Provincia de Ñuble para estudiar herbicidas de pre y post emergencia de cebolla establecida en siembra directa, y evaluar el efecto en las malezas y el rendimiento del cultivo. Los tratamientos fueron: testigo desmalezado manualmente; testigo sin control; pendimethalin (pre) y oxifluorfen (post); pendimethalin (pre) y aclonifen + fluroxypir (post); pendimethalin (pre) y dimetenamida-p (post); pendimethalin (pre) y pendimethalin (post); S-metolacloro (pre) y oxifluorfen (post); S-metolacloro (pre) y aclonifen + fluroxypir (post); S-metolacloro (pre) y dimetenamida-p (post); dimetenamida-p (pre) y oxifluorfen (post); dimetenamida-p (pre) y aconifen + fluroxypir (post); dimetenamida-p (pre) y dimetenamida-p (post). Todos los tratamientos recibieron Gramoxone (dicloruro de paraquat 27,6 % p/v 276 g L-1), después de la siembra, Centurion super (clethodim 12,5 %) a los 106 días después de la siembra (DDS) y Goal 2 EC (oxilfuorfen 24 %) a los 112 DDS. Pendimethalin seguido por pendimethalin y dimetenamid-P seguidos de aclonifen + fluroxipir y dimetenamid-P, disminuyeron la población total y peso seco de malezas a la cosecha. Todos los tratamientos herbicidas aumentaron el rendimiento y el tamaño del bulbo respecto al testigo sin control. Los mejores rendimientos fueron con dimetenamida-P seguido de aclonifen + fluroxipir o dimetenamida-P.

Se evaluaron herbicidas pre-emergentes a las malezas, como post-emergentes a estas; ademas se evaluaron algunas combinaciones de herbicidas, tales como: (Pendimetaline), (Trifluralina), (Oxadiazone), (Clorothal), (Oxifluorfen); PROWL+TOCK, RONSTAR+FUSILADE (Fluazifop), PROWL+RONSTAR, ROWL+TREFLAN y PROWL+GOAL. El diseno experimental utilizado fue el de Bloques Completos al Azar con 4 replicas y 13 tratamientos. La semilla usada fue el hibrido comercial. La evaluacion del efecto de los herbicidas sobre las malezas se realizo mediante conteos y apreciaciones visuales del grado de control de malezas. Los rendimientos mas altos se obtuvieron con los testigo manual y la combinacion de herbicidas, 3 litros (post-transplante) + un litro (pre-transplante humedo) del producto comercial por hectarea. Ademas se obtuvo el mejor control de malezas. Los rendimientos bajos correspondieron a los tratamientos.
