Nous avons développé unoutil de modélisation direct en 3D permettant de calculer le champ magnétique de fuite de la machine. Plusieurs méthodes numériques ont été étudiées (éléments finis, moments magnétiques, intégrales de frontières...). Un modèle précis, léger et original a été développé. L'approche inverse a consisté en fonction des mesures du champ à l'extérieur, de retrouver la répartition du flux dans l'entrefer. Nous avons montré que cette approche permet la discrimination, la localisation et la quantification de l'importance des défauts. Finalement, notre approche a été validée expérimentalement grâce à l'instrumentation d'une maquette de machine synchrone (30kVA, 4 pôles) associée à un système de capteurs de champ magnétique Fluxgate.

A cet effet, deux méthodes indépendantes sont décrites dans ce mémoire : un diagnostic de défaillances électriques dans des alternateurs connectés au réseau et une étude exploratoire afin d'évaluer la température interne de machines électriques industrielles.La première méthode repose sur l'analyse de deux grandeurs physiques : le champ magnétique rayonné à l'extérieur de la carcasse et les vibrations de la machine tournante. Des modèles mathématiques ont été développés afin de corréler des phénomènes magnétiques et mécaniques qui interviennent dans trois états de la machine : sain et en deux défauts de courts-circuits au stator et au rotor. Ces résultats ont ensuite été validés expérimentalement en laboratoire ainsi que sur des machines de grande puissance en environnement industriel. Un prototype de diagnostic capable de réaliser un examen de défaillance de courts-circuits sur des machines à fort courant a été proposé.Dans un deuxième temps, la méthode d'estimation de la température s'appuie sur des constats relatifs à la variation des caractéristiques des matériaux qui composent un enroulement lorsque la température augmente. Ainsi, la localisation des fréquences de résonances de l'impédance sont impactées. Ce dernier constat a été vérifié expérimentalement.Ce travail de thèse a permis de vérifier la faisabilité des méthodes de diagnostic et de surveillance en ligne dans des machines tournantes avec un minimum d'intrusivité, ceci dans un environnement industriel.

Book excerpt: Le principal objectif de nos travaux était l'établissement de modèles suffisamment précis pour étudier le comportement des machines électriques en présence d'un défaut de court-circuit entre spires et d'en déduire les signatures pertinentes pour la détection de ce type de défaut. L'autre objectif était de dimensionner des machines électriques à courant de court-circuit d'amplitude limitée pour réduire le risque de propagation du défaut. La première approche de modélisation consiste à effectuer une étude complète en utilisant la méthode d'éléments finis pas à pas dans le temps. Les résultats obtenus par ce modèle "éléments finis" concernant une MSAP et une MAS, saines et aussi en présence de plusieurs défauts "entre spires" de niveaux de sévérité différents, concordent avec ceux obtenus expérimentalement sur deux bancs d'essai. La seconde approche a consisté à mettre au point un modèle "circuits électriques" dont la complexité dépend du type de structure magnétique et du type de bobinage de la machine étudiée. Nous avons proposé deux méthodes de détermination des paramètres : 1- des méthodes numériques (éléments finis) ; 2- l'établissement des nouvelles expressions analytiques. Dans le dernier chapitre, une méthode basée sur la segmentation des aimants sous un pôle qui n'est en fait qu'une démultiplication du nombre de pôles au rotor sans modification du bobinage statorique est proposée est utilisé pour réduire le courant de défaut.

Les effets d'une excentricité sur le rayonnement ont également été évalués dans une optique de prévention et de maintenance des machines électriques. Le modèle 2D ne convient que pour des études qualitatives, ses hypothèses ne rendant pas suffisamment compte de la réalité. L'intérêt du modèle 3D réside dans sa capacité à représenter correctement les phénomènes physiques à l'extérieur de la machine. Un modèle analytique est également proposé dans ce mémoire. De conception simple, basée sur la représentation par moments dipolaires équivalents, il aide à la compréhension de la signature électromagnétique. Enfin, grâce à ces modèles, des solutions de compensations optimales des fuites par un blindage actif, sont envisagées après une présentation de l'état de l'art des solutions utilisées actuellement.
