The family life cycle characterizes the movements and transformations that occur throughout family history, presenting patterns of relative predictability, constituting stages of development and requiring adaptation and adjustment from its members (Moysés and Silveira Filho, 2002). Furthermore, each family member, by playing a role according to their social context, can influence the dynamics of the health-disease process. The expanded understanding of health promotion, which includes actions aimed at changing behavior and preventing diseases, as well as the social determinants of health of populations, implies a different approach in the work of professionals in the oral health team. In this sense, it is essential to prepare oral health professionals in practices and attitudes that help them in this process. To this end, professionals must know the broader issues of the community, as well as participate in them, with the aim of educating and informing people about the effects of diet, hygiene, use of fluorides, smoking, alcohol consumption and the health/health process. illness. In this way, we will help individuals to have a healthier lifestyle based on understanding the life cycles present in families. In the Family Health Strategy (FHS), understanding the family life cycle and incorporating it in the construction of health care strategies means incorporating the family's impact on the health and illness of its members, better understanding the moment and context of the family life (Moysés and Krieger, 2008). In this module, care strategies will be addressed in relation to families' oral health, including the different stages of the life cycle: baby, child, teenager, pregnant woman, adult, elderly person and patient with special needs.
