Diese Forschungsfrage steht im Zentrum der Arbeit. Die Master-Arbeit stellt einen Beitrag zum Aufbauprozess einer ökosystembasierten digitalen Plattform dar. Bei der Erstellung einer datenzentrierten digitalen Plattform müssen zwei Grundrichtungen verfolgt werden: Der Aufbau eines digitalen Ökosystems und die Aufstellung eines Geschäftsmodells. Der digitale Wandel bringt viele Veränderungen mit sich, u. a. hohe Dynamik und Reaktionszwang, Innovationsdruck auf Unternehmen, neue Vertriebswege und komplexe Beziehungen zu Kunden und Partnern. Unternehmen setzen in ihrer strategischen Ausrichtung auf digitale Strukturen, Planungshorizonte und Marktgrenzen erweitern sich, in der Folge kommt es zu Ökosystem- und Plattformbildungen. Digitale Plattformen sind als Fundament der zukünftigen Wertschöpfungssysteme anzusehen, sie koordinieren Angebot und Nachfrage in einem Ökosystem. Um das primäre Forschungsziel zu erreichen, wurden die Modalziele formuliert: Ermittlung der Erfolgsfaktoren als strategische Vorgaben für das Geschäftsmodell der digitalen Plattform; Erarbeitung des Vorgehensmodells für den Aufbau des Ökosystems und Erstellung eines Geschäftsmodells für die Plattform. Die Modalziele wurden jeweils den zwei Untersuchungsfeldern gegeordnet. Die Erkenntnisse zu den Erfolgsfaktoren der digitalen Plattform aus dem Untersuchungsfeld 1 fliessen in Untersuchungsfeld 2, in dem ein Geschäftsmodell für die digitale Plattform aufgestellt wird. Anhand der Literaturrecherche wurden die Erfolgsfaktoren ausfindig gemacht, diese wurden im Untersuchungsfeld 1 durch das Auswertung der im Datenbank vorhandenen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten und Studien, sowie durch drauf folgende Gruppeninterview erweitert. Die in Untersuchungsfeld 1 zusammengestellten Erfolgsfaktoren wurden als strategischer Leitfaden für die erste Etappe des Plattformaufbaus (Untersuchungsfeld 2) genutzt werden. Als Ergebnis des Untersuchungsfeldes 1 wurde eine Tabelle mit den Erfolgsfaktoren und deren Ausprägungen erstellt und weitere Empfehlungen zur Ermittlung der Erfolgsfaktoren überreicht. Das Untersuchungsfeld 2 widmet sich dem Aufbau des Ökosystems und Aufstellung eines Geschäftsmodells für die digitale Plattform. Anhand der Aktionsforschung wurde die erste Etappe des Ökosystemaufbaus im Unternehmen durchgeführt und die Tools für die Darstellung des Geschäftsmodells untersucht.

Two basic directions must be followed in the creation of a data-centric digital platform: The construction of a digital ecosystem and the establishment of a business model. Digital change brings with it many changes, including high dynamics and the need to react, pressure on companies to innovate, new distribution channels and complex relationships with customers and partners. Companies are focusing their strategic orientation on digital structures, planning horizons and market boundaries are expanding, and ecosystems and platforms are being created as a result. Digital platforms are seen as the foundation of future value creation systems; they coordinate supply and demand in an ecosystem. In order to achieve the primary research goal, the modal goals were formulated: Determination of the success factors as strategic guidelines for the business model of the digital platform; development of the procedural model for building the ecosystem and creation of a business model for the platform. The modal goals were assigned to the two fields of investigation. The findings on the success factors of the digital platform from investigation field 1 flow into investigation field 2, in which a business model for the digital platform is set up. The success factors were identified on the basis of a literature search. These were expanded in field of investigation 1 by evaluating the scientific works and studies available in the database and by subsequent group interviews.
