Para ejercer esta tarea, se precisan, ademas de los conocimientos tecnicos, dotes de organizacion y liderazgo, asi como una notable resistencia fisica y psiquica. Es necesario conjugar el dificil equilibrio que supone estar integrado dentro de la organizacion de una empresa constructora y, al propio tiempo, disponer de independencia dentro de la obra. La parte central describe aspectos practicos de la actividad profesional del jefe de obra desde distintas opticas. Se incide en el estudio del proyecto y su planificacion, el control y la comprobacion de materiales y sistemas constructivos, asi como los aspectos relacionados con el tiempo y el costo. Se tratan de forma especifica situaciones del dia a dia, relativas a la gestion humana, tecnica y documental. A tal efecto, se acompana una breve seleccion de modelos de documentos
