Book excerpt: O trabalho teve como objetivos verificar o comportamento do maracuja amarelo (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa) enxertado sobre maracuja amarelo e maracuja alata (Passiflora alata Dryander). O ensaio foi conduzido no viveiro experimental da F.M.V.A.J. Sementes de maracuja amarelo e maracuja alata foram semeadas em canteiros de areia, e depois repicados em recipientes plasticos com capacidade para 5 litros. Quando as mudas apresentavam o diametro com aproximadamente 7 mm, foram enxertadas pelo sistema de garfagem-fenda cheia, com ramos ponteiros de maracuja amarelo adultos. O desenvolvimento dos enxertos foram avaliados de quinze em quinze dias desde o 30 ate 165 dias apos a enxertia, utilizando-se como parametro o peso seco acumulado da parte aerea. Observou-se pelo conteudo de materia seca acumulada que a melhor combinacao foi maracuja amarelo sobre maracuja amarelo (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa).
