Book excerpt: This is the third volume of sopolyrimu (songs, poems, lyrics for music) to appear in print. They continue to be enthusiastically received internationally, and in August 2009 Marcus started moving around the world giving reading performances of the work, a process that hopefully will not stop. Seven volumes of sopolyrimu have been completed, with one hundred in each volume. "If these has been released over the author's lifetime he would have become a national treasure by now. The work is distinguished not only by its fine feeling but also by its high level of craftsmanship. In many ways, the work has a serene devotional quality reminiscent of T. S. Eliot. Harris Smart, teacher and writer, and author of The Yellow House, a multi-media exploration of the friendship between Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh. Everyone would benefit from reading and hearing these songs. They are profound and unforgettable M. Ridhwan Isharc, UK Marcus M Cornelius writer, teacher, bookseller and one-time singer. He graduated from Exeter University (UK), was awarded a Creative Writing Scholarship at Syracuse University (USA) and for seven years was a professor at Hokuriku University (Japan). He is currently finishing the sixth volume of sopolyrimu (songs, poems & lyrics for music). Each volume contains one hundred songs, one hundred being chosen simply because it is a convenient round number. Apart from these volumes of sopolyrimu, more of his work has been published by I-Universe, including Out of Nowhere the musical life of Warne Marsh, and the first two books in the five-part work entitled Note for Note (Another pentateuch). i-Universe will eventually publish the three other books in the series. Three of his spoken word CDs are available on I-Tunes (for purchase) and Last.fm (for free listening). The third CD was one step closer to his dream of having original music written for the sopolyrimu; all but two of the tracks are accompanied by music, and three tracks by commissioned music. More CDs are planned. Marcus is working towards the accomplishment of the final goal with the songs, which is to see them performed accompanied by music and dance. Further details of his work and activity can be found at www.auroranovapublishing.net. Marcus now lives in Eymet, France.

Book excerpt: Horae Apocalypticae is a commentary on the apocalypse, critical and historical; including also an examination of the chief prophecies of Daniel. It is doubtless the most elaborate work ever produced on the Apocalypse. Editors Note, 2018 Quin. Ed. E. B Elliot finished his great work about the year 1860. The nature of the Historicist method of interpretation is such that the line of fulfilled prophecy is continually moving with the passage of time. The interpretation of which necessarily requires a certain amount of speculation which must be verified before accepted as true. As well intentioned as many are the passage of time will overthrow the best of expositors on some points of which time would reveal to be mere speculation. Though the bulk of Mr. Elliot's work still stands the test of time, time has unveiled a more likely or true interpretation on some points. The editors herein have made some updates commensurate.

Book excerpt: D’Artagnan and his swashbuckling friends reunite to vanquish forces of evil and injustice in the sequel to The Three Musketeers Two decades after a brash young adventurer teamed with master swordsmen Athos, Porthos, and Aramis to defeat Cardinal Richelieu and his seductive spy, Milady de Winter, France stands on the brink of civil war. Inspired by Oliver Cromwell’s persecution of King Charles I in England, bloodthirsty crowds threaten the youthful monarch, Louis XIV; his regent mother, Queen Anne; and their devious chief minister, Cardinal Mazarin. To protect the sovereignty of the crown, Mazarin commissions d’Artagnan to find the three Musketeers and return them to the queen’s service. The mission takes on an even greater urgency when the vengeful Mordaunt, son of Milady, picks up the quartet’s trail. From a dramatic duel in London to an explosive showdown on the English Channel to a climactic confrontation in the streets of Paris, d’Artagnan and his friends wage an epic battle on behalf of truth, honor, and justice. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The essay is the perfect format for a crisis. Its porous and contingent nature forgives a lack of formality, while its neglect of perfection and virtuosity releases the potential for the incomplete and the unrealizable. These seven essays on The Political Possibility of Sound present a perfectly incomplete form for a discussion on the possibility of the political that includes creativity and invention, and articulates a politics that imagines transformation and the desire to embrace a connected and collaborative world. The themes of these essays emerge from and deepen discussions started in Voegelin's previous books, Listening to Noise and Silence and Sonic Possible Worlds. Continuing the methodological juxtaposition of phenomenology and logic and writing from close sonic encounters each represents a fragment of listening to a variety of sound works, to music, the acoustic environment and to poetry, to hear their possibilities and develop words for what appears impossible. As fragments of writing they respond to ideas on geography and migration, bring into play formless subjectivities and trans-objective identities, and practice collectivity and a sonic cosmopolitanism through the hearing of shared volumes. They involve the unheard and the in-between to contribute to current discussions on new materialism, and perform vertical readings to reach the depth of sound.
