The latter, notwithstanding his position, explicitly declared, that there were but two orders, and that the ordination of the Swiss and French Churches was as valid as that of the Church of England, for it was not until the reigns of the vacillating Stuarts, that the Church of England assumed the intolerable position, that the ordination of a priest of Rome was valid, while that of a Presbyterian minister was invalid.
