Fortunately, you don't have to go through it alone. This book will serve as your quick reference guide to working through the process side by side with your attorney's office. It will be a place to gain information, find new questions to ask, and feel comforted by the knowledge that you at least understand the process. Understanding the process is critical, because it demystifies it and allows you to work through it logically and professionally. Doing this with the skill and guidance of your attorney's office will help you navigate the system and come out on the other side (hopefully) with a minimal amount of damage to your world. Jonathan Dichter is the founder of DUIHeroes and is a nationally recognized Leader in DUI Defense, and now brings his calming conversational style to a book designed to help demystify the Washington State DUI process for you, a potential client.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As part of my practice, I defend doctors, fellow attorneys, executives, senior military officers, teachers, professional and college athletes, airline pilots, and the good hard working people of Michigan who find themselves charged with a drunk driving offense. I currently live in Ann Arbor with my wife and my kids, and prior to entering private practice, I was an Assistant District Attorney in New York City, and an Oakland County (Michigan) Prosecutor. As a prosecutor, I successfully prosecuted thousands of high profile felony, misdemeanor and drunk driving cases. During my career as a prosecutor, I never lost a trial, and had a 100 percent conviction rate. This was a major accomplishment as the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office is the busiest in the entire country, and Oakland County has a reputation as having some of the best criminal defense attorneys in the State of Michigan. I was pretty good at prosecuting people, but now I'm on the other side of the table using that experience for your benefit. I'm currently a criminal defense attorney at Kelly & Kelly, P.C., a well established and Better Business Bureaus Accredited law firm that has been fighting for clients for the past twenty-five years. While I'm usually the lead attorney on criminal cases, I use a team approach, which gives the client multiple legal minds working on their case, and helping the client get the absolute best outcome. Since leaving my career as a prosecutor, I've been selected and recognized in 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 by Super Lawyers Magazine; the prestigious magazine selects the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Michigan, and in my opinion is the gold standard for attorney rankings. My selection by Super Lawyers Magazine was featured in Hour Detroit Magazine and the New York Times. My work as a Michigan criminal defense lawyer has also earned me a "Superb" 10.0 Avvo Rating. I'm licensed to practice law in Michigan and New York. I graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, and I'm not at all shy about bragging that I graduated from one of the best law schools in the world. My educational background and my experience as a prosecutor have pushed me to the forefront of criminal defense attorneys in Michigan. I currently serve as the criminal law co-chair for the Washtenaw County Bar Association and I'm a member of the Oakland County Criminal Law Committee.

With a focus on reclaiming the power that comes from a life free of dependency, Being Sober walks readers through the many phases of addiction and recovery without judgment or the overly "cultish" language of traditional 12-step plans. It also addresses the latest face of this disease: the "highly functioning" addict, or someone who is still able to achieve personal and professional success even as they battle a drug or alcohol problem. Dr. Haroutunian tackles this provocative issue head-on, offering new insight into why you don’t have to “bottom out” to get help. Dr. Haroutunian is himself a recovering alcoholic and knows firsthand the challenges of sobriety. Using clear, straightforward language, Being Sober offers a proven path toward an emotional sobriety and a rewarding new life based on gratitude, dignity, and self-respect. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For decades, movies and television shows have portrayed FBI agents as fearless heroes leading glamorous lives, but this refreshingly original memoir strips away the fantasy and glamour and describes the day-to-day job of an FBI special agent. The book gives a firsthand account of a career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation from the academy to retirement, with exciting and engaging anecdotes about SWAT teams, counterterrorism activities, and undercover assignments. At the same time, it challenges the stereotype of FBI agents as arrogant, case-stealing, suit-wearing stiffs with representations of real people who carry badges and guns. With honest, self-deprecating humor, Steve Moore's narrative details his successes and his mistakes, the trauma the job inflicted on his marriage, his triumph over the aggressive cancer that took him out of the field for a year, and his return to the Bureau with renewed vigor and dedication to take on some of the most thrilling assignments of his career. Steve Moore is a former agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who had assignments as a SWAT team operator, sniper, pilot, counterterrorist, and undercover agent. He received multiple awards from the Department of Justice before his retirement in 2008, has written two episodes for an FBI-themed TV series, and is a regular commentator for Headline News. He lives in Thousand Oaks, California.
