Book Synopsis A business model for the digital B2C/B2B platform. The development based on an ecosystem by : Larissa Petersen
Download or read book A business model for the digital B2C/B2B platform. The development based on an ecosystem written by Larissa Petersen and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2020-11-09 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Master's Thesis from the year 2020 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 1.0, AKAD University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart, language: English, abstract: This thesis deals with the development of a suitable business model for a digital platform in the AA company. For this purpose, a suitable process model with appropriate instruments for the development of an ecosystem-based platform must be found. What is the process for building a successful business model for a digital platform? This research question is at the center of our work. The master thesis is a contribution to the process of building an ecosystem-based digital platform. Two basic directions must be followed in the creation of a data-centric digital platform: The construction of a digital ecosystem and the establishment of a business model. Digital change brings with it many changes, including high dynamics and the need to react, pressure on companies to innovate, new distribution channels and complex relationships with customers and partners. Companies are focusing their strategic orientation on digital structures, planning horizons and market boundaries are expanding, and ecosystems and platforms are being created as a result. Digital platforms are seen as the foundation of future value creation systems; they coordinate supply and demand in an ecosystem. In order to achieve the primary research goal, the modal goals were formulated: Determination of the success factors as strategic guidelines for the business model of the digital platform; development of the procedural model for building the ecosystem and creation of a business model for the platform. The modal goals were assigned to the two fields of investigation. The findings on the success factors of the digital platform from investigation field 1 flow into investigation field 2, in which a business model for the digital platform is set up. The success factors were identified on the basis of a literature search. These were expanded in field of investigation 1 by evaluating the scientific works and studies available in the database and by subsequent group interviews.
Book Synopsis Ökosystem Darm Special by : Jean-Claude Rambaud

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jean-Claude Rambaud The place occupied today in basic and clinical research by intestinal disease related to Clostridium difficile is such that it is hard to remember that this range of disorders was completely identified only in 1977-1978, even though pieces of the puzzle had been identified much earlier. A brief historical review of the discovery of the enteropathogenicity of C. difficile in man might thus be useful. The bacterium was described in 1935 in the stools of infants, using the name Bacillus difficilis [7]. Until 1977, the microorganism, renamed C. difficile, considered to be of endogenous origin, was isolated only in rare cases of abscess or infection, most often unrelated to the digestive tract. Its role in genito-urinary infections [6] was not confirmed. However, the frequency of infant healthy carriers was recognized from the outset [7, 13]. Pseudo-membranous colitis (PMC) was described in 1883 following a gastroenterostomy. Many cases of this condition were published subsequently before the antibiotic era, describing various risk factors [4]. However the disease began to flourish only with the increasingly wide use of antibiotics. Antibiotic associated PMC was first described as an enterocolitis, though with little pathological evidence. It was principally related to the use of chloramphenicol and tetracyclines and attributed to proliferation of Staphylococcus au reus [ 11], a concept strengthened by the spectacular therapeutic action of vancomycin.

Book Synopsis Smart Cities and Connected Intelligence by : Nicos Komninos
Download or read book Smart Cities and Connected Intelligence written by Nicos Komninos and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-12-05 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Internet and World Wide Web platforms, big data analytics, software, social media and civic technologies allow for the creation of smart ecosystems in which connected intelligence emerges and disruptive social and eco-innovation flourishes. This book focuses on three grand challenges that matter for any territory, no matter where it is located: (i) smart growth, a path that more and more cities, regions and countries are adopting having realised the unlimited potential of growth that is based on knowledge, innovation and digital technologies; (ii) safety and security, which is a pre-requisite for quality of life in a world of intense social, natural and technological threats; and (iii) sustainability, use of renewable energy, protection of living ecosystems, addressing climate change and global warming in a period of rapid urbanisation that makes established sustainability models and planning patterns quickly obsolete. The core argument of the book is that problem-solving and novel solutions to these grand challenges emerge in smart ecosystems through connected intelligence. It is the broadest form of intelligence that combines capabilities from heterogeneous actors (humans, organisations, machines) and propel problem-solving through externalities and resource agglomeration, user engagement and collaboration, awareness and behaviour change. This book will be of interest to students and researchers of urban and regional studies, innovation studies, economic geography and urban planning, as well as urban policy makers.

Book Synopsis Ecosystems Knowledge by : Samuel Szoniecky
Download or read book Ecosystems Knowledge written by Samuel Szoniecky and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2018-05-24 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To analyze complex situations we use everyday analogies that allow us to invest in an unknown domain knowledge we have acquired in a known field. In this work the author proposes a modeling and analysis method that uses the analogy of the ecosystem to embrace the complexity of an area of knowledge. After a history of the ecosystem concept and these derivatives (nature, ecology, environment ) from antiquity to the present, the analysis method based on the modeling of socio-semantic ontologies is presented, followed by practical examples of this approach in the areas of software development, digital humanities, Big Data, and more generally in the area of complex analysis.

Book Synopsis Regulating the Crypto Ecosystem by : Parma Bains
Download or read book Regulating the Crypto Ecosystem written by Parma Bains and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2022-09-26 with total page 47 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Unbacked crypto assets are the oldest and most popular type of crypto assets, relying not on any backing asset for value but instead on supply and demand. They were originally developed to democratize payments but are mostly used for speculation. Crypto assets were designed to disintermediate financial services, but centralized entities, such as exchanges and wallet providers, offer key functions to users and sustain the necessity of trust in one or several entities. At present, many of these entities are not covered by existing conduct, prudential, or payment regulations and can generate risks to market integrity, market conduct, and potential financial stability. We recommend that global bodies work to develop common taxonomies that can inform global and cross-sectoral standards while improving data insights. Standards should be risk-based, with greater requirements on entities and activities that generate more risk. Crypto asset service providers that deliver core functions and generate key risks should be licensed, registered, or authorized.
