Ein Kind wird zahlreichen risikof rdernden und risikomildernden Faktoren ausgesetzt, die f r seine sp tere Entwicklung bestimmend sind. Schon ein versp teter oder verpasster Entwicklungsschritt kann ungeahnt schwerwiegende Folgen nach sich ziehen. Gleichzeitig scheinen Kinder ber einen einen angeborenen "Schutzmantel" zu verf gen, der ihnen die F higkeit zur Resistenz gegen ber bestimmten Einfl ssen gibt. Die H ufung von Risikofaktoren macht es Kindern allerdings schwer, diesen nat rlichen Schutzmantel voll zu entwickeln. Behutsamkeit, Einf hlungsverm gen und W rme sind f r die fr hkindliche Lebensphase von zentraler Bedeutung. Nicht jedes Risikokind wird sp ter ein Problemkind - aber das gesellschaftliche Umfeld der "Risiko-Familien" sollte alle Einflussm glichkeiten nutzen, um risikomildernd zu wirken.
