Book Synopsis Die moralische Verantwortung kollektiver Akteure by : Josef Wieland
Download or read book Die moralische Verantwortung kollektiver Akteure written by Josef Wieland and published by Springer-Verlag. This book was released on 2013-03-08 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Unternehmen als moralische Akteure by : Christian Neuhäuser
Download or read book Unternehmen als moralische Akteure written by Christian Neuhäuser and published by Suhrkamp Verlag. This book was released on 2011-04-20 with total page 343 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Institutions Inc. written by Elke Weik and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-04-08 with total page 157 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Institutions Incorporated draws together aspects of human and organizational corporeality and links them to institutions. Throughout European anthropology and culture the body has been conceptualized as the 'dark side' to soul and reason. This book explores the 'dark side' of institutions, their materiality and the bodily involvement of their users, in an environment where perfection is measured in intangible entities, notably reason and will. This innovative collection takes a closer look at the interplay of the symbolic and the material, and the triad of institutions, bodies and corporations. This exciting research examines what the tangible, 'dark side' of institutions means both for those who live in them, and those who study them.
Book Synopsis Strategic Management in the 21st Century by : Timothy J. Wilkinson

This clear, insightful, and interesting work covers all aspects of strategic management, including chapters that discuss SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis, the Resource-Based View, transaction cost economics, and real options theory. Unlike other books, this three-volume work examines strategic management from different perspectives, effectively interweaving seemingly disparate subdisciplines, such as entrepreneurship and international business, with specialized foci, such as creativity, innovation, and trust. Incorporating information from contributors as varied as a proprietor of a worldwide motorcycle business to one of the most published scholars in the field of international strategic management, the practical and theoretical perspectives presented in Strategic Management in the 21st Century will benefit business strategists, professors of strategic management, and graduate students in the field.

Book Synopsis Standards and Audits for Ethics Management Systems by : Josef Wieland
Download or read book Standards and Audits for Ethics Management Systems written by Josef Wieland and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-14 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The articles collected in this volume deal with the contents and processes of good corporate practice. Their common question is how moral values and ethical demands can become an integral part of economic and corporate deci sions- in a way that is credible and comprehensible for the society. Generally accepted best practice or minimum requirements for codes of conduct matter in this context. They codify values like integrity, fairness, openness, honesty, truthfulness, solidarity and justice, which have to be im plemented in a company's day-to-day business. In one sentence: There is a need to develop criteria for seriosity and credibility, for evaluating and con trolling standards of conduct and the managerial systems created for this purpose. In the international arena terms like Ethics management system, Ethics program, Values program, Ethics audit and Social audit are in use to denote these management systems. In this context it seems to me that the European perspective results from the values driven integration of corporate govern ance (e.g. risk management, compliance), quality management (e.g. human capital, supply chain) and corporate citizenship (human rights, ecology, so cial responsibility, communitiy) into a comprehensive and consistent man agement decision system. The core value and common denominator of these areas is sustainability. This, for instance, as opposed to narrow compliance programs that are largely law driven, to use a distinction which Lynn S. Paine introduced.
Book Synopsis Creating Shared Value – Concepts, Experience, Criticism by : Josef Wieland
Download or read book Creating Shared Value – Concepts, Experience, Criticism written by Josef Wieland and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-01-05 with total page 169 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the last years, “Creating Shared Value” has become a much discussed concept in business practice as well as in management theory and especially in the context of corporate social responsibility. This book offers a contribution to the current academic discussions on the well-received article of Michael Porter and Marc Kramer in Harvard Business Review in 2011. In the light of the increasing references to the shared value concept, it develops a critical discussion on its fundamentals and its implications for the relationship between economy and society. By that, the book seeks to shed light on the understanding of the role and the nature of the firm in a globalized economy. The result is a collection of interdisciplinary academic reviews which offer interdisciplinary reflections on “Creating Shared Value” to illuminate theoretical, conceptual and practical challenges of the topic. Within the fields of Business Ethics, Theory of the Firm, Management and Philosophy, researcher, students and practitioners will be given a deeper insight on how to approach to the concept in a conceptional and philosophical way.
Book Synopsis Corporate Governance und Korruption by : Detlef Aufderheide
Download or read book Corporate Governance und Korruption written by Detlef Aufderheide and published by . This book was released on 2005 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis The Relational Subject by : Pierpaolo Donati
Download or read book The Relational Subject written by Pierpaolo Donati and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2015-06-17 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many social theorists now call themselves 'relational sociologists', but mean entirely different things by it. The majority endorse a 'flat ontology', dealing exclusively with dyadic relations. Consequently, they cannot explain the context in which relationships occur or their consequences, except as resultants of endless 'transactions'. This book adopts a different approach which regards 'the relation' itself as an emergent property, with internal causal effects upon its participants and external ones on others. The authors argue that most 'relationists' seem unaware that analytical philosophers, such as Searle, Gilbert and Tuomela, have spent years trying to conceptualize the 'We' as dependent upon shared intentionality. Donati and Archer change the focus away from 'We thinking' and argue that 'We-ness' derives from subjects' reflexive orientations towards the emergent relational 'goods' and 'evils' they themselves generate. Their approach could be called 'relational realism', though they suggest that realists, too, have failed to explore the 'relational subject'.
