Part 2 reproduces the full suite with commentary in double page fold-outs. Les éditeurs d'estampes sont pour partie les imprimeurs de la ville mais surtout les graveurs qui éditent eux-mêmes leurs propres œuvres ou celles d'autres graveurs. Leur activité est loin d'être négligeable, de même que leur production. Cet ouvrage se divise en deux parties : un dictionnaire des éditeurs où ont été rassemblées et mises en forme les moindres indications trouvées par un dépouillement systématique des fonds d'archives ou des ouvrages, souvent anciens, puis un catalogue des pièces éditées à Lyon, retrouvées principalement dans le fonds ancien de la Bibliothèque municipale de la ville, mais également dans d'autres fonds français ou étrangers. Une recherche longue et minutieuse a permis de préciser certains traits du milieu des graveurs-éditeurs, marqué par une forte cohésion socio-professionnelle. Associations, mariages et donc transmission des outils de travail permettent aux ateliers de se maintenir, malgré les difficultés matérielles dont font souvent foi les documents retrouvés. L'origine et les déplacements des graveurs-éditeurs, maintenant mieux connus, permettent de confirmer la place de Lyon comme lieu d'accueil propice aux échanges et aux passages. L'étude a également permis de cerner les multiples usages des estampes : religion, ornement, modèles pour la fabrique de soierie, plans et vues de villes, mémoire d'événements politiques. Enfin, est mise en lumière la qualité de l'édition lyonnaise d'estampes, qui ne fournit pas seulement une imagerie locale mais dont les productions peuvent rivaliser avec celles de Paris."
