This book was released on 2013-05-01 with total page 664 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: HOW TO BECOME INVISIBLE. Whenever I could, being the good old journalist that I am, I would write about what I've experienced and what I've observed Being an immigrant who did not speak the language of my new home, but was educated in my native country, I know first-hand about being misjudged and dismissed. Immigrants try their best to fit in, going against the reality of exclusion in all its forms: social, economic and cultural. The challenge for newcomers is not just to find a job, but to find a purpose for this new life, the right cause worthy of fighting for, and a way to contribute. People immigrate to America from around the world with a preconceived vision that is very far from the reality of their evolving new life. I was one of them. Leaving your native country for whatever reason and trying to make it in another is obviously not easy because the culture, language, and traditions are so different. Unfamiliarity and the sense of being alone, away from loved ones, plus the desire to go back home, constantly permeate your thinking. Knowing that it is not feasible is heartbreaking. It is the people you meet along the way that can unknowingly give you the strength to continue. Each new person you meet brings something to the table, each one like a piece of a puzzle that all together forms a beautiful picture; each one trusting that whatever they contribute is unique and important so things can go smoothly. This realization keeps you going, especially at work, performing tasks that you've never done before. My eyes are closed and my pen struggles to release memory to share the experience of climbing the stairs of life's lessons. If you are climbing, it is always good to look back without asking others to have pity on your struggle. Climbing the stairs of life requires courage to take the steps one by one with peace and love. The days go by and the silence is still there: we work, look, listen, meditate, and observe while there is time. Being an observer is like a lesson of wisdom with flexible rules, giving you the opportunity to become invisible while you learn and grow. I started my first job in the kitchen, carrying the food as well as washing dishes. Under the quiet gaze of my supervisor, while performing my duties, I observed and reflected about all the people around me - coworkers, supervisors, and the clients we were there to serve. Sometimes life's circumstances force us to stay behind the curtains, But this becomes a place of observation that is enriching. Godfroy Boursiquot

Book excerpt: There is a world of difference between Francreole and Creole. They differ not so much by their phraseologies, but much more so in everything else. Francreole is a diaglocy, a romantic literary genre, a mixture of two grammatical and modern languages. Creole is just a grammatically neglected local dialect. They are two sister languages, if not mother-daughter. Francreole is a grammar that, orthographically and analytically, has revised the literary composition of a dialectto wit, Creole, into a better-articulated literary recomposition, rather than just a mere simplistic local French Creole patois, as usual. Creole patois has hereby been innovated from being just a mere dialect into a full-fl edged Romantic literary genre. It is a modern grammar now. Its phraseology remains unchanged. Students, intellectuals, Francreole speakers, Creole speakers, French speakers, or any person interested in foreign languages will find this study challenging, as it is unique as a literary innovation to the vernacular Creole dialect, now a vehicular Romantic language.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Georges Sorel's reputation as a proponent of violence has helped to link his ideas to fascist and totalitarian thought. Much of the literature on Sorel as developed this theme, at the expense of what Sorel himself stated as his primary purpose, "the discovery of the historical genesis of morals." How, Sorel asked, in the light of the development of modern industry and the vast powers of the modern state the individual can possess a sense of self-worth and at the same time help to sustain a cultural vitality similar to the great societies of antiquity? How is it possible to avoid the utter resignation and nihilistic relativism of modern existence? In his writings Sorel outlined a sociology of virtue that combined the importance of family love as the basis of community feelings with acceptance of the basis of individual vitality as constant industrial struggle against nature. Sorel's solution is different from Marx's: in place of the ida of transcended alienation, Sorel envisions an agonal striving against nature's unceasing resistance to our efforts. The Feuerbachian unity of nature that, for Marx, had been alienated under capitalism, Sorel regarded as being inherently fragmented by scientific procedures themselves, as well as by the industrial processes that correspond to those scientific procedures. For Sorel, the struggle against nature is the struggle that enables man to overcome himself, to strive against his own inclination to passivity, sloth, and licentiousness. The Marxist concept of totality so necessary to the vision of a communist society is rejected, in favor of a pragmatic, pluralist view of nature that parallels the social pluralism of a regime of workers' syndicates. The primary function of Sorel's famous "myth of the general strike" is to link the workers' constant struggles against capitalist employers to the never-ending struggle against nature. The feelings engendered by such a strubble constitute the true core of socialism; without such feelings, socialism is doomed to the same decay that Sorel and Marx foresaw for capitalist civilization.
