Die Kreativität kann durch verschiedene Faktoren beeinflusst werden. Die Organisationen können ein kreatives Umfeld für ihre Mitarbeiter schaffen und somit einen Beitrag zur Förderung der Kreativität leisten. Im Vordergrund der empirischen Studie steht die Überprüfung des kreativen Umfelds mit den verschiedenen Bürokonzepten und den neuen digitalen Technologien. Um die aufgestellten Hypothesen auf ihre Gültigkeit zu überprüfen, wurde eine Beobachtungsstudie und eine Online-Befragung durchgeführt. Anhand von 30 Probanden in der Beobachtungsstudie und 182 Teilnehmern in der Online-Befragung konnte festgestellt werden, dass das kreative Umfeld nicht den entscheidenden Einflussfaktor der Kreativität darstellt, sondern die kreative Person. Dass die Digitalisierung einen Einfluss auf die Kreativität ausüben kann, konnte nicht belegt werden.
