Aufeinander prallen können Meinungen, Motive, Ziele, grundsätzlich zwei Elemente, die anscheinend unvereinbar oder gegensätzlich sind. Wenn man von einem sozialen Konflikt spricht, prallen mindestens zwei Aktoren, dies können einzelne Individuen, Gruppen oder auch ganze Völker sein, aufeinander. Von diesen erlebt "wenigstens einer Differenzen im Wahrnehmen und im Denken, Vorstellen, Interpretieren, im Fühlen (...) und Wollen (...) mit dem anderen Aktor." Diese Differenzen äußern sich dadurch, dass einer der beiden Aktoren am Verwirklichen, seiner Gedanken, Gefühle oder einem bestimmten Ziel, von dem anderen Aktor beeinträchtigt wird. Bei einem Konflikt wissen nicht unbedingt beide Parteien, dass ein Konflikt besteht. Sie können auch unbewusst provoziert werden. Die meisten Menschen wären auf den ersten Blick sicherlich der Meinung ein konfliktfreies Miteinander wäre die Idealsituation. Dem ist aber nicht so. Konflikte haben durchaus ihren Sinn in unserer Gesellschaft. Zum einen dienen Konflikte dazu "vorhanden Unterschiede zu verdeutlichen und fruchtbar zu machen" . Sie sind schon im Tierreich mit dem Selektionsprozess verbunden. Bei den Tieren gewinnt der körperlich stärkere den Konflikt, er überlebt. Beim Menschen geht es nicht um Leben oder Tod, aber meistens gibt es eine Partei, die gewinnt und eine die unterliegt. Durch die Entscheidung, mit einer Festlegung eines Über- und Untergeordneten, kommt es in der Folge seltener zu Konflikten, weil die Rangfolge bestimmt wurde. Mit dieser Hausarbeit soll dem Leser die Problematik der Konfliktbearbeitung und der Konfliktlösung in einer Arbeitsgruppe aufgrund eines Praxisbeispieles und einer nachfolgenden Erörterung nahegebracht werden. Am Anfang steht die Definition der Begriffe „Konflikt“ sowie des „Konfliktmanagements“. Darauf folgend wird ein Einblick in die Konfliktarten bzw. Konfliktursachen gegeben wobei auf die einzelnen Phasen des Konfliktprozesses eingegangen wird. Das Hauptaugenmerk wird auf den einzelnen Konfliktbewältigungsmethoden liegen, dargestellt an einem realitätsgetreuen Praxisbeispiel in Kapitel 4. Eine Zusammenfassung der erörterten Ergebnisse und ein Fazit bilden den Abschluss.

Physical realism, in the sense in which John Foster understands it, takes the physical world to be something whose existence is both logically independent of the human mind and metaphysically fundamental. Foster identifies a number of problems for this realist view, but his main objection is that it does not accord the world the requisite empirical immanence. The form of idealism that he tries to establish in its place rejects the realist view in both its aspects. It takes the world to be something whose existence is ultimately constituted by facts about human sensory experience, or by some richer complex of non-physical facts in which such experiential facts centrally feature. Foster calls this phenomenalistic idealism. He tries to establish a specific version of such phenomenalistic idealism, in which the experiential facts that centrally feature in the constitutive creation of the world are ones that concern the organization of human sensory experience. The basic idea of this version is that, in the context of certain other constitutively relevant factors, this sensory organization creates the physical world by disposing things to appear systematically world-wise at the human empirical viewpoint. Chief among these other relevant factors is the role of God as the one who is responsible for the sensory organization and ordains the system of appearance it yields. It is this that gives the idealistically created world its objectivity and allows it to qualify as a real world.
