Book excerpt: Dedicated Poems to Our Loved Ones in Heaven represents all the emotions at play when there is sudden death. My inspiration for doing this book was due to my parents passing away suddenly. I had all these emotions going on and wanted to share the grief with others who have lost loved ones. We must always remember that our loved ones never die, but always live on in our hearts, and these poems do come directly from the heart. I didn’t feel grief straight away. Then all these poems started to come to me. It was like my parents were communicating to me to do it. My dad was so happy when I was going to get married that he bought me my dress. But he couldn’t walk me down the aisle, as he passed away before the big day. My husband-to-be Tony and I decided to hold the wedding on my dad’s birthday. My mum ended up giving me away with my sister Ann as my bridesmaid. We did not forget my dad that day and raised a glass to wish him a happy birthday and wish he was with us. Please enjoy and take comfort from these poems and remember that you are never alone in grief.

No famous poet done this poem for you as I done for you from the bottom of my heart and my soul. If I was your King I would want to share a special moment together & as I hold you close to me I will whisper into your ear "the three words" that you truly deserve. We may have not seen each other Face to Face, but if we did it will be a great and wonderful bond as I think that you are an amazing woman and that is the honest truth sweetie pie. No-one and I do mean no-one can ever take away the bond between us as it unbreakable.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do they have telephones up in heaven ? is an anthology of poems penned during my first year in Paediatric residency to commemorate the many stories and lessons learnt from the children and families I was fortunate to work with through a myriad of rotations. There are special moments of joy, heartbreak, love, anger and lessons learnt captured in these pages. Children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses often lead a life filled with trials and tribulations but this collection proves that there is hope and happiness even in the darkest of times. Most importantly, these children have taught me that life is not in the medicine or in their treatments but rather life is in the humanity around them from the kindness, the care and the concern they receive from everyone around them from family to the medical team to allied health care staff. This anthology also serves as a memory to children we have lost this year. They will always be in our hearts. Life is short, let us live each day as it was our last. Peace and love always, Pravin xx.

Book excerpt: The writer never having an interest in reading or writing poetry suddenly after the loss of a nine month old grandchild Sarita to a tragic accident began hearing a beautiful subtle voice that would not stop until the voice was written. The writings were poems that delivered a message of love and compassion to humanity. The first messages heard were those of people who had died and the words were in first person as narrated by the heard voice. I began to wonder if my own death was imminent and I was to leave these messages to my children, when the fear subsided, Babies From Heaven started to be heard, these are babies coming from heaven and telling their parents of their arrival, then All of us in Between for mothers, fathers' sons' daughters, and all of humanity. Each poem was voiced in it's entirety with the urgence for the writer to put on paper. Every word is exactly as it was heard, the message is of love and compassion touching the hearts of all who read them. The name Messages From Heaven is what they truly are voiced by angels to ease the pain and grief of the writer. The poems since 1994 have been used to give to our hospice client's family, which they treasure. Recently a person asked me if I beleived in God and when I answered yes, he asked me if I did not think that God had given me these poems to share with humanity, immediately I decided to have them published.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a compilation of personal writings for friends and loved ones who reached out to Gail over the course of fifty-six years, inspiring her to write God's consoling message in prayerful, poetic form for hundreds of people. These were people Gail met through her many years of being active in ballroom dancing, volunteer work in hospitals, being a mother to a son and daughter, and being the wife of a busy engineer. She met wonderful people in the three states she has resided in who felt a need to confide in her, thus creating the need for God's grace through the miracle of prayer. The answers through her prayers have given her a depth of faith that inspires her to keep on writing. This country was created as "one nation under God," and a number of these poems and prayers are dedicated to the land of our birth and for the freedom that we, and others who seek this freedom, will live to enjoy as long as we obey His law and commandments. The holidays and holy days of the many faiths that dwell here will long be enjoyed as we continue to put our faith in God.

A riveting book of poetry for those facing grief and loss because a loved one has left without s goodbye. It is also a special tribute book for those families seeking peace and closure. Reviews Margaret Rose Francis's latest collection of poems, 'When Doves Fly' is not only pure pleasure to read, but also a shining example of empathy for the innocents whose lives were lost or taken on Malaysian Airlines flights MH370, MH17 and in other such catastrophes and atrocities. Like the spirits of these lost ones, and on their behalf, Ms. Francis's words fly like doves back to comfort and console the loves, who must now live their lives in sorrow and mourning. But out of the sorrow, sentiments of hope come soaring, so that there's always the promise of the dawning of a bright new morning. A book to truly treasure, read and re-read. Dean Johns - Freelance Writer Australia I don't read a lot of poetry but these are very good in my opinion. Very easy to read and well balanced. Bradley Hosington - Columbus, Ohio Deeply saddens and really hurts inside. These are very good poems based on true stories of flight MH370. I love to read them again and again. Book excerpt: These first two volumes in a four-volume edition of Dryden's poems are the result of a complete reappraisal of the canon, text and context of his work. The text has been prepared from a fresh examination of the early printed editions, and takes account of the large number of manuscript copies which survive. Two recently discovered poems are included here for the first time. Headnotes to each poem provide details of the poem's date, publication history, sources and contemporary reception. Detailed explanations are given of the controversies addressed in his political poems, and particular attention is paid to Dryden's translations from classical writers including Virgil, Horace, Ovid and Lucretius. Volume I covers the poems of Dryden from 1649 to 1681.
