Book Synopsis Dreams – the 60Th Part of Prophecy by : Deborah M. Miller
Download or read book Dreams – the 60Th Part of Prophecy written by Deborah M. Miller and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2018-10-15 with total page 2177 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These are images and words in the night. “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, when he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction” (Job 33:15–16 NKJV). Until you get to the place where you have extracted certain behaviors from your system, one needs God to have something to put in your face. Many times, God has to go outside of our spiritual capacity and connect us to something psychologically or scare us with some kind of threat in order to keep us until we can walk as he wants us to walk. He uses consequences and deterrents that catch us quickly. They catch you on the way so you don’t get too deep into something that is going to take half of your mind to get out of it. “You don’t want to go to the edge of your mind to change your mind in order to do a different behavior” (Noel Jones). Within the context of this reference, those catalysts, consequences, and deterrents are your dreams.

Book excerpt: The Book of Images highlights dreaming as the major avenue of communication between supernatural beings and man. This book demonstrates that the supernatural realm controls the physical realm and yearns to reveal hidden secrets and connect with mortal man “Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret plan to His servants the prophets...Amos 3:7 AMP” From Larry Page the inventor of Google, to Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity to Elias Howe and the humble sewing machine, some of the world’s most celebrated inventions have come from eureka inspiration in mid-sleep. As the world counts down to an inevitable end, God is still in the business of revealing new inventions, unique ideas and great events that will shape the final days and help people around the world live longer, healthier and more-productive lives. The Book of Images can be likened to a dreamer’s dictionary where the author interprets the meaning of vast images, symbols, figures, names and events one might encounter while dreaming. This book is intended to help dreamers understand the significance of dreaming and explain simple dreaming terminology to unlock the basic universal meaning of dream languages that will help to unravel the significance of their dreams. Although there are no universally acceptable interpretations for all dreams due to socio-cultural differences, this book will assist any reader to develop a healthy attitude towards dreaming and understand the meaning of their dreams.

Book Synopsis Keats, Modesty and Masturbation by : Dr Rachel Schulkins
Download or read book Keats, Modesty and Masturbation written by Dr Rachel Schulkins and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2014-04-28 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Examining John Keats’s reworking of the romance genre, Rachel Schulkins argues that he is responding to and critiquing the ideals of feminine modesty and asexual femininity advocated in the early nineteenth century. Through close readings of Isabella; or the Pot of Basil, The Eve of St. Agnes, Lamia and ‘La Belle Dame sans Merci,’ Schulkins offers a re-evaluation of Keats and his poetry designed to demonstrate that Keats’s sexual imagery counters conservative morality by encoding taboo desires and the pleasures of masturbation. In so doing, Keats presents a version of female sexuality that undermines the conventional notion of the asexual female. Schulkins engages with feminist criticism that largely views Keats as a misogynist poet who is threatened by the female’s overwhelming sexual and creative presence. Such criticism, Schulkins shows, tends towards a problematic identification between poet and protagonist, with the text seen as a direct rendering of authorial ideology. Such an interpretation neither distinguishes between author, protagonist, text, social norms and cultural history nor recognises the socio-sexual and political undertones embedded in Keats’s rendering of the female. Ultimately, Schulkins’s book reveals how Keats’s sexual politics and his refutation of the asexual female model fed the design, plot and vocabulary of his romances.
