Between smartphones, social media, mobile connectivity, and a plethora of other technological innovations changing the way we do almost everything these days, your customers are expecting you to be taking advantage of it all to enhance their customer service experience far beyond the meeting-the-minimum experiences of days past. Unfortunately, many companies are failing to take advantage of and properly manage these service-enhancing tools that now exist, and in return they deliver a series of frustrating, disjointed transactions that end up driving people away and into the pockets of businesses getting it right. Having managed more than 1,000 separate customer service studies, author John A. Goodman has created an innovative customer-experience framework and step-by-step roadmap that shows you how to: Design and deliver flawless services and products while setting honest customer expectations Create and implement an effective customer access strategy Capture and leverage the voice of the customer to set priorities and improve products, services and marketing Use CRM systems, cutting-edge metrics, and other tools to deliver customer satisfaction Companies who get customer service right can regularly provide seamless experiences, seeming to know what customers want even before they know it themselves…while others end up staying generic, take stabs in the dark to try and fix the problem, and end up dropping the ball. Customer Experience 3.0 reveals how to delight customers using all the technological tools at their disposal.

This wo- shopwasheldaspartofthe6thInternationalConferenceonNetworkandService Management (CNSM 2010), formerly known as and building on the success of the MANWEEK conference series. This year we met just a hundred yards away from Niagara Falls in Canada, a very exciting location. MACE started as an experiment and over the past years has created a small yet very active community that convened again this year to discuss and ev- uate new advances, innovative ideas, and solid developments. The main focus of MACE, combining modeling with communications, is certainly a hard topic that requires a lot of discussion, thus the work presented at the workshop is - trinsically debatable and might not be as practiced as in other well-established workshops, but this was the nature of MACE from the beginning. New ideas, sometimes more, sometimes less rougharoundthe edges (and someof them even inside) are submitted and provoke extensive discussions. The ?eld in which we areworkingreliesonthesediscussions, orevenadventures, andwehavethis year again strongly motivated and supported a variety of novel work in the technical program. This year, the submissions, while being closely related to the main themes, brought some new areas into the workshop. We still see architectural design and theapplicationofautonomicprinciplestonetworksandservices, butwealsonow have submissions looking into previously unexplored areas such as Home Area Networks, multimedia streaming, virtualization, federation, anduserexperience. This portrays a maturity in the domain, which has by now gone through several cycles, and improves its outputs by applying the lessons learned.

Book excerpt: The proliferation of open banking and open finance regimes across the globe demonstrates an ever-increasing interest of policymakers in empowering customers to take control of their data through innovative data sharing frameworks. These frameworks mostly operate within a single (e.g., financial services) sector but are poised to extend to other parts of the economy in the future – and eventually apply economy-wide. This book articulates the concept of economy-wide customer data sharing (CDS) frameworks, analyses in detail the main challenges associated with the development of such frameworks and is informed by the lessons learned from Australia’s world-first cross-sectoral Consumer Data Right regime. It develops a first comprehensive taxonomy of CDS frameworks and offers valuable insights on crucial issues of customer trust, information security, consumer protection and participant regulation. This study, apart from its scholarly importance, has clear practical value. It formulates twelve lessons that will assist governmental officials and other policymakers engaged in establishing and revising data sharing frameworks across the globe. It is essential reading for anyone interested or involved in the law and policy related to the sharing of a most precious resource in the modern economy – customer data.

This book was released on 2014-02-01 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The study at hand investigates customer experiences at the American coffee company Starbucks and develops a new scale to measure customer experience quality on the basis of four dimensions: Service quality, atmosphere quality, flow quality and learning quality. The study reveals that product quality itself is a separate, but related construct to customer experience quality which alone is not sufficient to create customer loyalty. The effect of customer experience quality and product quality on customer loyalty intentions is found to be fully mediated by perceived value. Moreover, perceived wealth of the customer acts as a moderator and increases the positive effect of customer experience quality on perceived value whereas it weakens the effect of product quality on perceived value. Collectively, the results extend and clarify concepts in the evolving, but inconsistent customer experience management literature. The findings enable managers to stage customer experiences more effectively and more efficiently.
