Book excerpt: Cumorah, A Land Choice Above All Other Lands is a compilation of more than 350 prophetic statements from the Book of Mormon. The scriptures in the Book of Mormon are consistent, accurate, essential, and sufficient for us to search for and to find the land of Mormon. All 350 scriptures about the land quoted in the book are complementary and add clarity, even though written during a 1,000 years. The book identifies the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada as the primarily lands around Zarahemla where the Nephite prophets lived before the Savior came to the temple in the land Bountiful. The record also contains vital information about adjacent seas and about the Hill Cumorah where final wars occurred for both the Jaredites and the Nephites. The prophet Nephi tells us that his people were led to a choice land. He said the Gentiles would be delivered by the power of God from the oppression of their mother Gentiles and from other nations. (1 Nephi 2:20, 13:13-19, 18:23) The history of the United States of America fulfills this prophecy.Nephi then prophesied that "After all the house of Israel have been scattered . . . the Lord God will raise up a mighty nation among the Gentiles, yea, even upon the face of this land." (1 Nephi 22:7) Today, the United States of America is that mighty nation. The ancient prophet Ether tells of the migration of the Jaredites about 2200 B.C. from the land of Assyria near the Tower of Babel to a distant land of promise, a land choice above all other lands. Whatsoever nation possessed the land would be free from bondage, from captivity, and from all other nations, if they would serve the God of the land. (Ether 2:7, 12, 13:2-4) The United States of America has been free from all other nations.Cumorah is the anchor, the one definite location of Book of Mormon land. The words of ancient prophets quoted in the book clearly locate Cumorah in western New York, U.S.A.The purpose in writing this book is to convey to the reader an increased personal feeling for those ancient people, their land, and their timeless council. These were real people living in a real land. The book is a summary of prophetic statements found in the Book of Mormon and have been used to identify the location of Mormon's land as the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada.the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada. Cumorah, A Land Choice Above All Other Lands will lead you to these sacred sites and bring a physical reality to scriptural truths recorded in sacred books. When you discover the land of the Book of Mormon, a "land choice above all other lands", a land where prophets stood, and where the risen Christ blessed the Nephites, you will be inspired and strengthened spiritually.

This book was released on 2018-06-20 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Mormon was published in 1830. This book tells us that Lehi and his family sailed from the cost of Arabia after 600 BC. Supposedly, Lehi landed in Peru, and his descendants colonized Columbia and later moved northward through a narrow pass. The Isthmus of Panama has been assumed to be the narrow pass. The land to the north of Panama was supposed to be the land of Desolation. Warfare was common between two groups—Nephites and Lamanites. Roughly AD 400, the Lamanites destroyed the Nephites at the Hill Cumorah, which is said to be in New York, USA. Historic “church” leaders are quoted to support the historic theories. However, the church today has no position on the location of the lands in question, so one may choose for himself where the lands were located. Quoting historic “church” leaders proves nothing. Scientists associated with the historic Archaeological Department of Brigham Young University have presented Mesoamerica as the lands of the book. Mormon told us that the river Sidon ran north to the sea (1981, B of M Index p. 730). The Mississippi runs south and is not the river Sidon. Mormon also told us that the people of Zarahemla (Mulekites) crossed a salt ocean landing at the land of Desolation. Hence, the land of Desolation bordered a salt ocean (Alma 22:30 and 63:5). These facts discount several theories, including the heartland theory and great lakes theories. However, historians quote early “church” leaders as prophets and continue to hold to traditional beliefs. The Book of Mormon is the position of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The lands in question must fit with this book regardless of traditions. The book fits in Mesoamerica. Because people in 1830 had little or no knowledge of the cultures of Mesoamerica, Joseph Smith could not have stolen the book from other authors and the early Mormons could not have written the book. Read Where in the Americas are the Lands of the Book of Mormon” to find out what the Book of Mormon tells us about the lands in question.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Just as a growing interest in millennialism at the turn of this century has rejuvenated religious debate and questions concerning the fate of the world, so did Mormonism develop from millennial enthusiasm early in the nineteenth century. Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, and a provocative, even controversial figure in history, declared that he had been given the authority to restore the true church in the latter days. The primary source of Smith's latter-day revelation is The Book of Mormon, and to fully understand his role as the founder of the Mormon faith, one must also understand The Book of Mormon and how it came to be. Unfortunately, the literature about Joseph Smith and The Book of Mormon is permeated with contradiction and controversy. In the first edition of this impressive work, David Persuitte provided a significant amount of revealing biographical information about Smith that resolved many of the controversies concerning his character. He also presented an extensive comparative analysis positing that the probable conceptual source for The Book of Mormon was a book entitled View of the Hebrews; or the Tribes of Israel in America, which was written by an early New England minister named Ethan Smith. Now in an expanded and revised second edition incorporating many new findings relating to the origin of The Book of Mormon, Mr. Persuitte's book continues to shed much new light on the path Joseph Smith took toward founding the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Book excerpt: Deception by Design provides a comprehensive study of Mormonism; exposes the surprising source of Joseph Smiths conversion story; reveals the immense influence of others on Smiths beliefs; equips evangelical Christians with principals for witnessing to Mormons. Allen Harrod has written a wonderfully helpful and insightful book on Mormonism. It is both original in its research, as well as in its offering helpful conclusions and applications regarding the nature and history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dr. R. Philip Roberts, president, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Deception by Design represents the best book I have seen in terms of explicating the beliefs and theology of Mormonism and at the same time providing superb approaches to presenting the claims of Christ to Mormons. Roberts, one of the leaders in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who wrote this work as a recapitulation of 75 years of the existence of "Mormonism" and "Mormon Church." The author's purpose was to prove that the world was in need of a new God's witness, and that Joseph Smith, a great modern prophet, was that witness. Dividing the work in thesis he firstly proves that the world was in necessity of a New Witness; then moves on to the state of the Christian church and how it was destroyed and there was an apostasy from the Christian religion; third thesis deals with the Scriptures declaring that the Gospel will be restored to the Earth; final thesis suggest that Joseph Smith is the New Witness for God who re-established the Church of Jesus Christ on Earth. Following these theses is the study of the Book of Mormon.

Book excerpt: After completing my first book "The Huevolution of Sacred Muur Science" I found there were many aspects of Muur history and culture that I touched on too lightly. So, I set out to do a follow up book that more or less expounded on subjects like Joseph Smith and the Mormons, the Poro & Keetowah societies, and the Delawares & Nanticokes. This particular book also has a chapter on ancient & modern round ball sports, after reading it, one, might better explain the overall craze of round ball sports in America. One of the most fascinating aspects of Moorish Science Temple history is the (Pan American Conference 1928) And the so called Moor circle (7). I conclude this book with Addendums dealing with these very intriguing subjects along with the national headress the (Fez). My mother is part Nanticoke and Fulani, my father Cherokee & Mende. My mission, was to represent my family roots through literature along with magnifying cultures not often written about, at least not by one of its own.

The search for the lands of the Book of Mormon has been an object of interest and conjecture ever since it was published in 1830. Many serious and well researched studies have been conducted for locations from South America, to Central America, to North America and beyond. Substantive theories have been generated and extensive academic treatises and books have been written and websites created to promote a wide range of models attempting to address the sites and locations of where the events took place. Each model has its proponents and its detractors, and each has credible scriptural, scientific and archaeological evidence to support elements of each model. The North America Model for the Book of Mormon, From Jerusalem to Cumorah, locates events, not just generally, but with specificity in many cases. It is based on the contemporarily written word, the preferred source for historical research. Since the Book of Mormon is true, what better source would there be? It is time to unravel the geography of the Book of Mormon from Jerusalem to Cumorah that has been hidden in plain sight since 1830. The North America Model indicates how close the historical and geographical footprint of the wars, contentions and travels of the Nephites and Lamanites may have facilitated the actual founding and preservation of the United States of America in the prophesied land of promise through the paths and trails that the ancient peoples who inhabited the land created and which were used not only by the colonists during the Revolutionary War but also in the course of the Civil War. The legacy of the Book of Mormon is more intimately intertwined with the United States of America, the promised land of liberty, than originally thought. Book excerpt: Morgan Deane, a military historian and former Marine sustains the authenticity of the Book of Mormon as an ancient document and shows how text contains a strong and distinctive voice on military matters that should be taken seriously by modern readers and even policy makers and generals. Through a Hugh Nibley like command of ancient societies from Mesoamerica, China, and Rome, as well as a grasp of military theory from Clausewitz to Sun-Tzu he expands upon the Jaredite civil war, the face of battle, logistics, ethno-religious conflict, the political dimensions of conflict and insurgency, and strategy. He specifically valorizes Captain Moroni against a rise in attacks against his character, presents a Nephite and Latter Day Saint just war theory, and shows how The Book of Mormon defends the use pre-emptive war. In a world filled with strife and conflict, Bleached Bones and Wicked Serpents will help the reader understand the context and society in which the Nephites lived...and died, and provide critical tools to evaluate modern military issues ranging from how to understand the threat posed by terrorists to assessing the wisdom of military action.
