Book excerpt: L'évaporation par convection naturelle laminaire d'un film d'eau ruisselant sur une paroi plane inclinée soumise à un flux de chaleur uniforme de densité constante est analysée numériquement et expérimentalement. Le couplage des équations qui régissent les transferts dans les deux phases est assuré par la continuité des densités de flux de chaleur et de masse ainsi que par celles des contraintes de cisaillement. Les équations de transferts adimensionnelles sont discrétisées par la méthode des volumes finis et résolues par les algorithmes de Gauss et de Thomas. L'adéquation entre le champ de vitesse et de pression est assurée par l'algorithme SIMPLE. Les épaisseurs des phases liquide et vapeur sont calculées respectivement à partir de l'équation du bilan thermique et massique à l'interface liquide-vapeur par la méthode de la sécante et d'une procédure itérative basée sur la vérification des conditions aux limites avec le milieu ambiant.Les résultats sont présentés sous forme de profils de vitesses, de températures et de concentrations de vapeur d'eau dans les deux phases ainsi que par les nombres de Nusselt et de Sherwood locaux et moyens. Nous analysons l'influence du débit d'eau, de la densité de flux de chaleur et de l'angle d'inclinaison de la plaque sur les épaisseurs des deux phases, les distributions de températures, les vitesses, les concentrations de vapeur d'eau et les valeurs locales et moyennes des nombres de Nusselt et de Sherwood. Les résultats montrent notamment que les transferts de chaleur et de masse ainsi que les épaisseurs des phases liquide et vapeur sont fortement influencés par le débit d'eau, la densité de flux de chaleur et l'angle d'inclinaison de la plaque.

Nous présentons ici l'état d'avancement des recherches réalisées sur les écoulements à film ruisselant sur les structures à ailettes spiralées intérieures et à ailettes spiralées extérieures. Des résultats expérimentaux à partir d'un tube lisse et sur les structures à ailettes spiralées intérieures sont présentés, aussi que de nouvelles corrélations concernant l'échauffement en différents régimes. Comme il s'agit de mesures globales nous présentons une nouvelle méthode d'exploitation basée sur l'identification paramétrique d'un modèle de connaissance. Le présent rapport se divise en six chapitres : le premier chapitre présente une étude bibliographique des échangeurs de chaleur et quelques notions sur des lois qui régissent le transfert thermique et l'hydrodynamique des écoulements. Les différents critères d'évaluation de performances globales de la littérature sont étudiés dans le deuxième chapitre. Nous y proposons des critères globaux de performance et leur application à l'étude des appareils à film ruisselant. Les nombreux travaux effectués dans le domaine des films ruisselants sur paroi lisse concernant l'hydrodynamique des films autant que les transferts thermiques et le transfert de matière seront décrits dans le troisième chapitre. Dans le quatrième chapitre nous présentons l'état d'avancement des recherches réalisées sur des structures spiralées concernant l'hydrodynamique et le transfert thermique. Le dispositif expérimental et les résultats obtenus à partir d'une nouvelle procédure d'exploitation basée sur la méthode du modèle sont présentés dans le cinquième chapitre. Nous présentons dans le sixième chapitre la confrontation des résultats expérimentaux avec les prédictions du modèle proposé.
