Les hypothèses de normalité et de lognormalité des échantillonnages sont difficilement acceptables et les conditions de validité de l'analyse de variance ne sont pas respectées. Cette grande hétérogénéité provient des techniques d'épandage des engrais azotés, de la répartition aléatoire de l'activité microbienne et de la faible diffusion des ions nitriques dans la solution du sol. L'ensemble des transferts physiques et biochimiques de l'azote nitrique doit donc être considéré comme de type proportionnel aux quantités présentes. Ce processus est à l'origine de l'évolution vers une dissymétrie gauche des populations. L'utilisation d'azote 15 apporte une meilleure connaissance numérique sur le devenir de l'azote minéral dans le système sol-plante. De nombreux exemples sont donnés pour des cultures de betterave sucrière : coefficient réel d'utilisation, minéralisation et organisation brutes, faible risque de pollution sous couvert végétal. Le bilan des Entrées-Sorties est équilibré sous l'hypothèse du même devenir de l'azote minéralisé et de celui apporté par l'engrais. Il est proposé un modèle compartimental décrivant la dynamique de l'azote minéral en sol nu ou cultivé. Les transferts bruts, ou débits d'échange sont calculés par une intégrale sous hypothèse hyperbolique. Une autre étude du modèle compartimental est effectuée en fonction du temps. La solution proposée est une conséquence directe des conclusions sur l'hétérogénéité des répartitions de l'azote nitrique dans le sol

On the name of the Scientific Community, I would like to express the wish that this International Symposium on SSF should be successful. Solid State Fermentation is part of biotechnology research. It consists on seeding solid culture medium with bacteria or fungi (filamentous or higher) and on producing, in this medium (solid components and exudates) metabolites and high value products. In fact, this process is very old. In older industries such the food and agricultural, this technique has been extensively used. An example of this is the production of pork sausages and Roquefort cheese. Pharmaceutical industry could make extensive use of SSF in the production of secondary metabolites of many kinds and development in this direction is soon expected.
