Book excerpt: La creación (o adaptación) de instrumentos de medida es una necesidad frecuente en la investigación psicológica, educativa, sociológica, etc. Esta monograma trata de ser una guía útil para los que pretenden crear una escala tipo-likert para la medida de actitudes (o de otros rasgos afines) y para todos aquellos que, en general, necesitan familiarizarse con el proceso de construcción de escalas con el fin de adaptarlas, revisarlas, valorarlas, etc. Para situar estas escalas en su contexto, se dedica un primer capítulo introductorio a los tipos de escalas que podemos considerar clásicos. En el segundo capítulo la exposición se centra ya exclusivamente en las escalas típo-Likert. La secuencia de contenidos reproduce el proceso completo de construcción, desde las fases iniciales de elaboración, redacción y análisis de items hasta el análisis de fiabilidad y de validez de la escala. Cada fase del proceso se ejemplifica e ilustra, y aquéllas que incorporan como parte sustancial el análisis estadístico de datos van acompañadas de una sección sobre cómo utilizar el programa SPSS con este fin.

Las actitudes en química escolar, según diversas reportes científicos están condicionadas con: las calificaciones de los estudiantes en la asignatura, los intereses posteriores de los estudiantes saliendo de la escuela, la relación afectiva de los sujetos hacia el profesor, el género de los sujetos, con la relación afectiva entre sus compañeros, entre otras variables, por tanto, evaluar las actitudes es el camino que permite determinar cómo se construyen, forman y reforman estas actitudes en pos de mejorar estas para que en última instancia con dicha información sea posible formar los futuros químicos y químicas que pavimenten el devenir científico y de la disciplina. En el presente trabajo se propone un constructo de actitud sostenido en el modelo de los planos del pensamiento de Labarrere y col. (2002), y del modelo tridimensional de actitudes, sugerido por Blanco y col. (2003) a partir de estos dos modelos se generó una batería de 239 reactivos, los cuales pasaron por un proceso de validación por jueces expertos, de los cuales quedaron 36 reactivos, finalmente estos se pre-validaron en una muestra de 114 sujetos mediante un test online. Los resultados arrojaron una alta confiabilidad del instrumento, pero no lograron generar evidencia lo suficientemente robusta como para generar algún juicio de validez de criterio o constructo, por tanto, se concluyó que es necesario robustecer la muestra con un mayor número de sujetos para que se puedan obtener datos estadísticos que permitan generar algún juicio respecto de la validez del instrumento.

Book excerpt: El objetivo del estudio fue la construcción y evaluación de las propiedades psicométricas de un instrumento capaz de evaluar el grado de competencias socioemocionales en trabajadores de instituciones públicas y privadas de Lima Este, entre las edades de 21 y 65 años. Se realizó la delimitación conceptual del constructo y se elaboró el instrumento preliminar (59 ítems) basado en la revisión de la literatura referente a las competencias socioemocionales, la muestra piloto estuvo conformada por 186 trabajadores. El coeficiente alfa de cronbach para el instrumento en su conjunto fue de 789. Para la validez de constructo se utilizó el análisis factorial exploratorio donde se demostró que el constructo está conformado por 2 dimensiones (competencia emocional y social) que explican el 44.87% de la varianza y a su vez por 5 sub dimensiones (conocimiento emocional, regulación emocional, capacidad participativa, empatía y resolución de conflictos). Finalmente la escala quedó constituida por 28 ítems que evalúan las 5 sub dimensiones de la escala de competencias socioemocionales. En virtud del mencionado se concluye que el instrumento evidencia buena consistencia interna y validez de constructo.
