This change needs to be individual. It is up to each of us, and it is our responsibility to make this world a better place. Because it is far from being OK, and there is no evidence more convincing than today's human. But he is free to choose whether he will continue his development on the conscious level or not. Life is a game, but it is hard to play with people who don’t know the rules. Just as each machine has its own instructions for use, it is the same with life and people. And they are actually very simple instructions. When each of us starts working individually, it will join us all together. This book was not written to be liked - it should be, above all, understood. God, Sex, Money, Ego, Morality, (mass)Media, Love, Meditation, Esotericism, Consciousness, Education, etc. - the real holistic view.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: AS WE ENTER THE 21ST CENTURY faced with current global and human crises, society is being questioned as never before. In The Consciousness Revolution three pioneers at the cutting-edge of Western thought reflect on the chances of peace in the world, on how society is changing, and on the changes we can make in ourselves. They consider the roles of art, science, education, goals and values, world views, religion, spirituality and, above all, consciousness -- for the state of our consciousness is the key issue underlying almost everything else. As Ken Wilber asks in his Foreword, what does it all finally come down to? Peter Russell put it like this: 'Each little bit counts ... we are all part of the same ground-swell. The most important question we need to ask is how can I put my own life in greater alignment with that ground-swell? How can I do my little one-hundred-thousandth worth to facilitate that shift a bit further? These intense and memorable discussions among three of the finest minds of our time convey a sense of excitement and passion which we can carry forward in our own lives. The Consciousness Revolution is an essential guide to how our map of reality is changing in the midst of the global transformations going on in all parts of the world and in every sphere of life, in us and around us.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: this book is a more detailed sequence of the book “Los Hijos del Sol” (Children of the Sun), where a deeper follow-up of the Jewish-Christian origin and the archeological data from the Egyptian dynasty XVIII is done, as well as other historical and literary data from the Middle-East, reaching revealing conclusions that have not being disclosed in 3,500 years approximately. The investigation continues with the writings from the famous Greek philosopher Plato, and his master piece “La República” (The Republic), allowing the reader to identify which is the essential element that this wise man set up, so this regimen could be established, but was ignored by people for a long time. This element is a common denominator between what is established in the legendary Akhenaton City, basis and foundation of the Jewish religion as it was later known. Even though information is known on the genesis of Catholic religion, there is some contradictory data in the Bible and the Christian history, that is why a study of the information left by apostle St. Paul is done, to cover such inconsistence, to have a more objective reference frame, following the steps of the successor of the ancient Christendom until the consolidation of the religion under the mandate of emperor Constantine. This historical process is done up until the Utopia of Thomas Moro, on his vain aim to establish the order that ruled on times where harmony used to govern during the Renaissance, finally arriving to the heroic attempt to carry out such change nowadays. Concluding that the private property and work should be rethought based on what the universe itself shows us in its majesty, as well as to our own micro-universe being our flesh wrapping. The divine justice invocated will be reestablished in our society when we learn to observe our own nature and realize our deity within ourselves. Meditation is only the starting point to initiate some research and prove by this means, what is perceived in this consciousness is valid and logic. All man findings have the same origin, so, what are you waiting for to synchronize and provide to the world what only you can offer? God definitely exists, but it is an experience that all human beings have the opportunity to have; not because a person had such experience you will be released, so that your thirst can be satisfied. You also need to drink the water rising from the universal fountain of love. Probably for some of you this book is going to confront your own beliefs, and it is especially to you I am asking to give the chance to discover something new, and don’t be like those that where denying the credibility to the great Genovese admiral, looking for the confidence to start proving the roundness of the place you live in. Give your credibility based on study and analysis and if you find that at the end of this reflection you are able to discover a new world, then we have both reached the same destiny. Releasing this way old prejudices and starting to build the foundations of the golden age that is about to start. If what we have reached until now is the basis of the situation that rules our world, what can you expect from a structure that since the beginning is wrongly founded? So I present you to this book, which gives life to one of the Biggest Masters that has been with us since the evolution and development of our human conscience. And be aware that he will be with us until the collective conscience will be raised up to its original state.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No other thinker so engaged the Russian cultural imagination of the early twentieth century as did Friedrich Nietzche. The Revolution of Moral Consciousness shows how Nietzschean thought influenced the brilliant resurgence of literary life that started in the 1890s and continued for four decades. Through an analysis of the Russian encounter with Nietzsche, Edith Clowes defines the shift in ethical and aesthetic vision that motivated Russia's unprecedented artistic renascence and at the same time led its followers to the brink of cultural despair. Clowes shows how in the last years of the nineteenth century a diverse array of writers and critics discovered Nietzsche's thought, embracing or repudiating it with equal vigor. The literary storm brewing around Nietzsche and the concurrent relaxation of censorship combined to attract a public eager to follow the new intellectual fashion. Young writers, such as Andreev and Kuprin, welcomed the idea of the "superman" as a promising path to personal fulfillment. The tragic fates of their protagonists and the alluring gospel of the vulgar Zarathustra-like characters of such bestselling authors as Boborykin, Artsybashev, and Verbitskaia found enthusiastic, if indiscriminating, audiences ready to be "taught" how to "find themselves." By considering this Nietzschean cult, Clowes draws fresh insight into the nature of the budding popular-culture industry in Russia and the fast-growing reading public. From this ferment emerged the greatest Russian literary voices of the early twentieth century. The revolutionary romantics, Gorky and Lunacharsky, sought in Nietzsche's writing a new vision of total social and cultural change. Merezhkovsky led a generation of mystic symbolists in the search for a literary myth of resurrection. Ivanov, Blok, and Belyi appropriated the image of the "crucified Dionysus" as the central symbol of spiritual transfiguration. Their encounters with Nietzschean thought disclose an even more profound creative struggle with their own cultural past and its established formulations of nation and individual, culture and history. Clowes uses the term future anxiety to speak of a creative mentality that strove to assert itself by diminishing the impact of powerful literary precursors, such as Tolstoi, Dostoevsky, and Solovyov, and opening to the imagination the vision of a future full of vast creative possibility.

At the same time, our individual worlds have developed our minds and destroyed many of our natural abilities.

What marked the evolutionary transition from organisms that lacked consciousness to those with consciousness—to minimal subjective experiencing, or, as Aristotle described it, “the sensitive soul”? In this book, Simona Ginsburg and Eva Jablonka propose a new theory about the origin of consciousness that finds learning to be the driving force in the transition to basic consciousness. Using a methodology similar to that used by scientists when they identified the transition from non-life to life, Ginsburg and Jablonka suggest a set of criteria, identify a marker for the transition to minimal consciousness, and explore the far-reaching biological, psychological, and philosophical implications. After presenting the historical, neurobiological, and philosophical foundations of their analysis, Ginsburg and Jablonka propose that the evolutionary marker of basic or minimal consciousness is a complex form of associative learning, which they term unlimited associative learning (UAL). UAL enables an organism to ascribe motivational value to a novel, compound, non-reflex-inducing stimulus or action, and use it as the basis for future learning. Associative learning, Ginsburg and Jablonka argue, drove the Cambrian explosion and its massive diversification of organisms. Finally, Ginsburg and Jablonka propose symbolic language as a similar type of marker for the evolutionary transition to human rationality—to Aristotle's “rational soul.”

Book excerpt: In Conscious (R)Evolution, Humanity, Insanity, and the Planet, the author brings together two powerful insights: that all life on this planet is interconnected, and that humanity’s current path of consumerism and industrialization is leading to catastrophe. From deforestation to pollution, we are damaging the very environment that sustains us. This book asks us to stop and consider the bigger picture: as an intelligent species, why would we willingly destroy the planet that gave us life? With urgency and clarity, the author calls for a new way of living, one that recognizes our place in the natural world and uses our intelligence to create a better future for all.

Through its enlarged understanding of the evolution of consciousness and culture, the emerging perspective known as integral consciousness provides realistic and pragmatic solutions to our growing global problems, both environmental and political. As McIntosh convincingly demonstrates, the integral worldview's transformational potential provides a way to literally become the change we want to see in the world. This is really two books in one: the first half serves as an accessible and highly readable introduction to the power of integral consciousness, with the second half making a variety of original contributions to the integral perspective and breaking new ground in the application of integral philosophy to politics and spirituality. Moreover, McIntosh provides a much-needed contextualization and critique of the integral worldview's leading author, Ken Wilber, which helps make integral philosophy relevant to a larger audience.

At that time, it was enthusiastically acclaimed by both William James and P. D. Ouspensky. It has long been accepted as a landmark in the field of mysticism. In reviewing the mental and spiritual activity of the human race, Dr. Bucke discovers that at intervals certain individuals have appeared who are gifted with the power of transcendent realization—or Illumination. Their experiences constitute a definite advance in man’s relation with the Infinite. Moreover, the author shows from available records that this transfiguring endowment of Illumination is on the increase, and he gives full details of practically all the cases on record up to the time when the book was written.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a current revival of Black Consciousness, as political and student movements around the world – as well as academics and campaigners working in decolonization – reconfigure the continued struggle for socio-economic revolution. Yet the roots of Black Consciousness and its relation to other movements such as Black Lives Matter have only begun to be explored. Black Consciousness has deep connections to the struggle against apartheid. The Black Consciousness Reader is an essential collection of history, culture, philosophy and meaning of Black Consciousness by some of the thinkers, artists and activists who developed it in order to finally bring revolution to South Africa. A contribution to the world’s Black cultural archive, it examines how the proper acknowledgement of Blackness brings a greater love, a broader sweep of heroes and a wider understanding of intellectual and political influences. Although the legendary murdered activist Steve Biko is a strong figure within this history, the book documents many other significant international Black Consciousness personalities and focuses a predominantly African eye on Black Consciousness in politics, land, women, power, art, music and religion. Onkgopotse Tiro, Vuyelwa Mashalaba, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Assata Shakur, Marcus Garvey, Neville Alexander, Thomas Sankara, Malcolm X, Don Mattera, Keorapetse Kgositsile, W.E.B. DuBois, Walter Rodney, Mongane Wally Serote, Ready D and Zola are among the many bold minds included in this amalgam of facts, ideas and images.
